Random Tuesdayness - 5th Ed. - It's a Chinese Fire Drill

randomtuesday
It's Tuesday and that means it's time for the 5th edition of Random Tuesdayness. If you want to participate, cruise on over to Keely's Blog, grab the widget, post it, then write a totally random, completely insane post about whatever pops into your head. Captain Dumbass has likened it to emptying your mind of all the shit that has piled up in the last week and then dumping it here (no pun intended)! Here we go...

Paul and Brittany got married on Saturday and the wedding was amazing! I was entrusted with the job of her makeup, and she looked absolutely gorgeous, if I do say so myself. This is the venue where the reception was held. I'll be doing a post about the wedding later.

After the wedding, Noelle secured her place in heaven. Let's just say one of the girls that attended the party drank waaaayyyyy tooooo much (that's the problem with having an open bar - not everyone can control themselves). Karen and Jessica drove her to her house which was (thank God) only a few blocks away, and then the four of us got her into her apartment. In between this girl getting sick and us trying to get her into bed, Noelle got covered in stuff (I'm not going to elaborate to save your gag reflexes). Noelle held her hair, cleaned her up, and carried her from the bathroom to her bed - and has thus secured her spot up above. The rest of us were dry heaving...

So, I Love, Love, Love Urban Decay's Eye Shadow Primer Potion. It works amazingly well. So well that I'm abandoning my MAC primer for it. *Gasp* I know... I'm a traitor and a horrible person, but my hell, it works so well! Hey, I rhymed. I'm special! But yes, ladies, if you want your shadow to stay on, use this stuff. The color is beige, but once you rub it in, it dries clear and your shadow goes right on over it. Love it!

You all know I went to get Twilight on Friday night... but before we ventured out for the evening, Odum and I stopped at Barnes and Noble to grab ourselves a copy of GQ. I mean come on, look at those pics. I had to have some copies to hang up in my bedroom. I might need to go get another copy so I have pics to put up in my office. I was sad to find out that there were only a few pics of him in the magazine. I guess the others I found online were from the outtakes that didn't make the cut... or maybe they were from another shoot. I'll have to do some research and get back to you....

I also ended up buying the new Twilight Director's Notebook while I was at B&N. It's a cute little thing with all sorts of info and trivia about the movie making process. Kinda fun to see all the stuff that went on behind the scenes. It actually goes along very well with the extra bonus material on the DVDs. I've only gotten to look through a bit of it, but I'll let you know if anything insanely interesting comes up!

I went over to Auri's last night. Well, I guess I should rephrase that... I picked up Auri after work and we headed over to Tarjay to get our copies of their Twilight release. Target released a "Deluxe Edition" with three discs instead of the standard two in the "Special Edition" or whatever it's called. The third disc has a bunch of extra stuff on it, including a Vampire Kiss Montage (hot, hot, hot) and Edward's piano concert. It also includes a piece about the music used in the movie... all very cool. After we grabbed the DVDs, we headed for my house to grab my laptop, then ran over to meet Odum at Starbucks. Our little rendezvous was so I could copy the books on CD onto my laptop, and thus, my iPod.
After the swap, we went back to Auri's to have dinner, play with the kids, and watch some DVD extras. While Auri was putting Taryn to bed, I decided I wanted to play with Tristan's hair. He's growing it out... it's all swept over to the side... and I decided he needed a few ponytails. So he got five, to be exact... and he loved every minute of it. The kid is growing up so much it's killing me! Anyway, once he finally saw himself in the mirror he started cracking up, and actually left the hair in when he got in bed. Strange child, I know. This picture needed no prompting from me. Apparently he's learned to pose since Papa moved in. He's such a dork!

One of the deleted scenes on the DVD is of Bella and Edward walking in the woods. He tells her that her number was up the first day he saw her, and then they fall down and have a moment. The moment is HOT, I've seen it already, but Auri hadn't. I can't tell you how funny it was to see the look on her face after we watched it... over and over. You have to watch this scene, if it's the only part of Twilight you see. I promise you won't be disappointed... and if you possess any sort of sensuality in your soul, you'll watch it repeatedly. If you don't like it, I don't know if I can be friends with you.... just sayin'...

Rewinding for a minute... I went to a little fundraiser event on Sunday and got a henna tattoo done on my foot. I've been seriously considering getting another tattoo and really want one low on the inside of my right ankle... or the top of my foot. I can't decide. And since it took me years to decide on the one on my back, I'm not going to make any hasty decisions. Especially since I'll be able to see this one all the time. Anyway, I decided to do the henna down low to see how I'd like having something on my foot for a while.

The first picture is right after I got it done, and the second picture is from last night. Looks pretty cool, huh? I've never had henna before and I think it's really fun. And what a better way to see if you'll like having body art, right? I think I kinda like it. This means I may be getting more ink sooner than I thought. I'll let you know if I make any decisions. I may have to ask for some suggestions and/or feedback!

In other news, I think I'm getting sick. Scratch that, I know I'm getting sick, and I'm pissed. Remember how I thought someone spiked my pico yesterday? Well, I came to the conclusion that the dizzyness was due to me getting a cold. Much more plausible explanation, right? I started with a scratchy throat yesterday, woke up to it feeling like it was on fire at 3:30 this morning, and now just feel poopy. I'm on my 2nd Chai of the day to soothe my throat. I think I'll be going home early to get some rest. I can't miss any of the next two days at work. Way too much going on! Ok, that's it. Kind of random but not very funny... sorry... the sickness has taken it out of me! Maybe next week!

I think I have to go to Sephora and get some of that stuff. My eyeshadow (when I wear it) always wears off.

Jaime - I'm not sure on who is more random. We're both so random about different crap! I'll let you know about the notebook when I finish it!

Stacy - Thanks for stopping by! The henna is totally fun. Hopefully I'll be sharing some new ink with y'all soon!

Keely - I'm happy to give makeup advice any time! And who's eyebrows you talkin' about? RPattz?

SB - Seriously, it's the best. I put my makeup on 16 hours ago and my eye shadow is still on... no creases! Love it!

Jen - It's so fun having an excuse to be random. Now I don't feel like I need to be institutionalized!
