Lil' Miss Thang! - Guest Post

Happy Monday, Everyone! As I'm off in LaLa Land {actually, I'm in Los Alamos with Auri and the kids (and yes, that's where the atomic bomb was made) and we're having fun with out you!}, I decided to enlist a couple of guest bloggers to entertain you for the week... hey guys! i'm lil miss butterbean, and you can normally find me blogging over here. i'm so excited to be guest posting for ms. salti! when she said she was looking for guest bloggers, i jumped at the opportunity because i love her blog! plus i hear she has awesome followers! (btw, i'm great at compliments!)

anyway, when she told me that i could write about whatever my heart desired, my mind went wild with topics, but i decided to keep it simple. my favorite time of year is autumn. i love the colors, i love the smells, i love the toasty warm feeling that you get when you're watching a football game or when you feel the first chill of the season. so, i was going to write about that, but decided that writing about the last few lazy days of summer would be better.

Salti Talk - Summertime and The Giveaway From 75 Posts Ago

So it's not Monday, but why do we need to have Salti Talk on Monday now that it's called "Salti Talk" and not "Monday Talk?"

That's what I thought...

I've been debating for a week about what to discuss, and honestly, I'm still at a loss...

I get an idea, and then just like that, it's gone. I have the memory of an 87 year old with dementia. The funny thing is, just now, I couldn't think of the word "dementia." Maybe it's actually early-onset Alzheimer's. I wouldn't be surprised.

Anywhoozit, since I've been loving the weather and the pool so much lately, let's talk about Summer. I don't know if I'd go as far as saying Summer is my favorite season, but it's definitely in the top 5. Ha! I have a love/hate relationship with Summer. I love that it's warm enough to go outside at night and not have to worry about losing appendages to frostbite. I hate that I'm hot 90% of the season. I love love love going to the pool and sitting in the sun (and before you lecture me on the dangers of sun exposure, save your breath, it's my one vice in life... well, that and Coke). I hate the fact that I tend to slope more toward the depressive side of my life in the warm months. I know, most people suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder in the Winter months. I always said I was strange. (BTW, I stole the pic of the sun from Anne's blog!)

Enough about me... what about you? What is your favorite, or least favorite thing about the Summer?

By the way, remember way back, approximately 75 posts ago, when I said I was going to send out mix cds? And remember there were 5 or 6 of you that wanted them? Well guess what? I finally got them made. I ended up loading a bunch of music to my work computer and burning them from there. So, I'm planning on sending cds to the following: Ali, h. justin, Carol, and Anne. I still have your addresses so don't be surprised when you receive a package from me! I made 3 extras, so if anyone wants one, just let me know!
