Rivalry. We all know what it is. We all know what it feels like. And we all know how good it feels when our team wins.
Yesterday was the biggest Utah football rivalry game of the season. The University of Utah Utes vs. the BYU Cougars (and just know, it takes A LOT for me to type the name of their team, much less include it one of my blog posts). And it was, for the most part, a mediocre game. The Utes scored a few field goals in the first quarter, the other team scored a touchdown. The 2nd and 3rd quarters were largely unremarkable and therefore, pretty boring to watch. Especially because the other team outscored us for the majority of the game.
Finally, in the fourth quarter, the Utes came back and tied the score with a touchdown first and then field goal in the last 35 seconds of the game. The other team didn't score and forced the game into overtime. The Utes got the ball first and scored a field goal (3 points). In the NCAA rules, both teams get a shot with the ball, so when the other team had their shot, they scored a touchdown (6 points) and we lost the game. Yeah, it hurts to lose, especially after we've had such a great season, but our team lost with dignity.
I'd like to say the other team won with dignity, but I can't, and here's why. After the game, the other team's quarterback, Max Hall, spoke at a press conference. And the shit that spewed out of his mouth disgusts me. He went on to say, "...I don't like Utah. In fact, I hate them. I hate everything about them. I hate their program, I hate their fans, I hate everything...I think the whole university, their fans and their organization is classless. They threw beer on my family and stuff last year, and they did a whole bunch of nasty things, and I don't respect them, and they deserved to lose." (By the way, beer is not sold at EITHER stadium, so I'd like to know where it came from). You can read the full article here.
Nice way for an athlete to represent himself, his team and his school. Way to be respectful, douche, and show what an upstanding citizen you are. Just know that with behavior like that you'll never get drafted, and you'll end up a washed up has-been by the time you're 25. Unless of course, you're already 25 because you decided to go on a mission, get married and have a few kids first, before you went to school to get your degree and play football.
Some of you may be thinking, "Jeez, Erica, you're doing the same thing he did." And you know what? Yes, I am. But I'm not in the public eye, and I don't represent anyone but myself.
Needless to say, I think the guy, along with the whole school and its fans, are shmucks. The Utes are dignified winners, and the Cougars are not. The Utes are also dignified losers, the Cougars are not. No matter if the Cougars win or lose, they always proceed to bad-talk the Utes, and frankly, I'm getting sick of it.
Max Hall and the rest of the team can kiss my ass. I hope he gets jumped in a dark alley and is drowned in beer. And I hope the Utes KICK THEIR ASSES NEXT YEAR!!!

Happy Turkey Day Y'all!
I hope everyone out there (my friends in America and all around the world) have a wonderful Thanksgiving today! I'm so thankful for my wonderful family, my amazing friends, and all my fantastic blogger friends that enrich my life everyday.
And thus, today starts the wonderful Holiday Season. I'm actually really excited for the holidays this year. I mean, we get Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving (which is the biggest shopping day of the year), My Birthday (in my eyes, it is a holiday), Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, and New Years Day. Yes, it makes for a very busy 35 days, but it's so worth it! I hope everyone has a fabulous holiday season!
P.S. Sadie, The Scottish Terrier, won best in show! Yippee!

A Few Thoughts For The Day

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones that you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." -Mark Twain

Random Tuesdayness - What's Wrong With Your Mipple?
Hey, guess what? I don't know, I was just trying to get your attention. Did it work? The movie made $140 million in its opening weekend. Did you see the interview with RPattz, KStew and TLautz on Jimmy Kimmel the other night? It was great. You should google it. Or maybe I'll do it for you. Here you go. It's only one segment, but watch it. Go talk to Keely if you want to play RTT. That's not RT, but RTT. Get with it, people.
According to Robin Williams on Letterman right now: Bono (that would be the Bono of U2, not the other Bono) was at some function somewhere in Scotland and started clapping his hands. He said, "Every time I clap my hands, an elephant in Africa dies." So apparently someone in the back of the club shouted, "Then stop clapping your fucking hands!"
I guess there's talk about what the hell is going on with RPattz's left mipple (that's man nipple for those of you who don't know) in the movie. If you don't know what movie I'm talking about, you obviously live in a cave. If you see Bin Laden in there, run like hell. ANYWAY, it kind of looks like a bite or a hickey. I'll give you the picture and let you decide. Robsessedpattinson.com is calling it Mipplegate... just so you know.
What's up with the dude who was caught smuggling exotic lizards in his pants? WTF?
I'm sick of working... I want to either be a kept woman, or independently wealthy. Do I have any takers? If I find someone, I'll let y'all know how it goes.
I got up today at 8:30. Had a 15 minute conference call at 9 AM. Did random crap on the computer, stuff around the house, took a nap, took a shower/got dressed, dropped the dog off at Mom and Dad's and went to In 'n' Out. It was only after I got home that I started working and got something accomplished. For some reason, I work better in the evening! At least I have that option, and things got done. That's all that matters.
So, yeah, um, my birthday is in one week from today. I'm going to be 30 in a week. JESUS, HOLY MOTHER OF GOD, I'M GOING TO OFFICIALLY BE OLD!!! Ok, just kidding, not really that old, but 30 is a big one, people. Do y'all know what that means? The annual Vegas trip is right around the corner. Like 9 days around the corner. OMG, I can't believe we're going to Vegas in 9 effing days! I had a countdown going last year. This year, it's like, "Oh, I guess I better start packing cuz we're leaving in the morning." Well, not quite, but you get the jist.
The dog jumped on my lap today while I was sitting in the big cushy chair in the living room. Apparently, the fact that my laptop was on my lap didn't mean anything to her.
Ashley Greene (aka Alice Cullen) is on Letterman tonight. But that's of no consequence to y'all because that's tonight and you'll be reading this tomorrow, essentially, after Letterman is on. Unless, of course, you TiVo'd the show, and then you can watch it whenever the hell you want.
And boys (specifically Captain and Otin) don't say I've never given you anything. The picture is pretty photoshopped, but she's hot, so why do you care?
Speaking of which, my GD Effing TiVo STILL isn't hooked up. I really need to get over to Best Buy and get a converter thingy to hook the DVD player and TiVo up to the TV/Cable Box. Odum, I need you!
Did you guys ever hear the SoBe commercial back in the day? It would have been out in approximately 2003. The lizard was supposed to be a pirate and it did this whole, "boom chika boom chika boom," thing. I swear to God I was the only person who ever heard the commercial on the radio? Is there anyone else out there? It was freaking hilarious.
Ok, that's all you get from me right now. I'll be back tomorrow. Or maybe later today. You never know what I've got up my sleeve... and you probably don't want to. Which makes me think of the totally gross cyst/pimple/god-only-knows thingy on my upper arm. It hurts like a sonofabitch and it needs to go away.

New Moon Rocked My World
I have to tell y'all something. And know that I have struggled with this all weekend, but I've got to get it off my chest. I saw the movie... 3 times since its release. And I'm not talking 3 times over the course of 3-4 days. I saw it at 8pm Thursday night at a special screening that I was priveleged enough to be a part of, and then I didn't see it again until yesterday. I'll let you do the math... yep, I saw it twice, yesterday. Two movies in a row. I have issues, I told you.
So, on Thursday night, Jessica picked me up, we swung by and grabbed Auri and headed down to The Gateway. The plan was to do dinner at Z Tejas and then line up for the movie. Imagine my anxiety when I thought the movie started at 7 and I found out it started at 8! Auri, Jessica, Odum, and myself were joined by Callie, Brittany, Dara, Kellie, and a few others I can't remember for an awesome dinner and a few drinks. Seriously, the pina coladas at Z Tejas are to die for!

Apparently there were some people there dressed up like werewolves... I apparently missed them, but I would have loved to get a look of the crazy. Seriously, I don't understand what goes through people's heads. I understand dressing up and getting into character, but Good Lord people, go big or go home. All this half-assed stuff just isn't going to cut it! If you're going to do it, do it well, or don't do it at all!
The resf of us nut-jobs were there with our Twilight-esque sweatshirts and t-shirts on. The one I was going to wear ("I left my heart in the meadow") was dirty, so I went witht the "Isle Esme" one instead. I'm sure I'll be getting a few others for the Eclipse premiere. Yes, I'm already looking forward to it!
So as far as the movie went, I loved it... obviously, if I saw it three times this weekend. And everyone has asked me which one I like better... There's a difficulty in deciding only because Twilight and New Moon are two totally different movies. From the basic storyline itself, to the actual movie (all the special effects, the CGI wolves, big-budget vs. small-budget) they're completely different. Honestly, I like them both for different reasons, but if you're going to force me to decide, I'm going with Twilight. I love New Moon, for reals, and I cannot believe how it ended. That's all I'm saying... no spoilers here, people!
So, we only have 7 months and 7 days until Eclipse comes out. Yes, I realize it's sad I'm counting down, but hello... did you see the end of the movie? How can I not be excited? And yeah, I know that we all know what's going to happen... duh... we've all read the books, but that doesn't make it any less exciting to see it on screen. If you have any inkling to see the movie, go see it, if only for the eye candy. Hello Jacob! I may be tempted to switch teams for a while because, Damn, that boy is HOTTT!!!

Possibly THE BEST DAY EVER!!!
Unless you've been living in a hole, which I know some of you are, you'll know that today is New Moon Day (according to Wikiball). The movie doesn't officially open until Midnight tonight/tomorrow morning, but I get to see it at 7 PM this evening, so today is the day!!!
I cannot wait to see Edward & Bella & Jacob & the Wolf Pack. Holy Jesus Mother Mary and Joseph, it's going to be effing awesome. Do you hear me? Totally rad! Now, if for some strange reason the movie doesn't live up to the hype, Chris Weitz is going down. (Weitz is the director of this movie... totally different from Catherine Hardwicke {director of Twilight}, so the dude has a lot to live up to... and if he doesn't, there's going to be mass hysteria and blood on his hands... just sayin'.)
I'm planning on taking copious amounts of tissue with me because I can guarantee I will BAWL like a baby when he leaves her. Oh, what's that? You didn't know he left? WELL GET YOUR ASS OFF THE COUCH AND GO READ THE DAMN BOOK ALREADY! But it's all good, cuz he comes back, eventually. But we already know that, right? Right. Otherwise, I'd (Bella) would have nothing to live for.
Y'all can be sure that I'll be posting a review either as soon as I get home from the movie, or as soon as I get up in the morning. Given my exhaustion levels the last few days, I'm not making promises for tonight. For tomorrow? You're on!
In other news, today is also a great day because.... drum roll please... Salt Lake just got its first In 'N' Out Burger!!! I know, I know, this is the last thing I need, but I'm seriously so freakin' excited. I know a few of my friends don't undersand my obsession, but I know the rest of you do. So, be jealous, I don't mind.
Since there were crazy people who slept over to wait for the doors to open, and the line to get inside is wrapped around the building (it's been all over the news, not like I drove down there or anything) I think I'll wait a few days to get my fix. Plus, I'll be busy watching New Moon anyway. I already have plans to see the movie at least once, if not twice again on Sunday. I know... New Moon and In 'N' Out on Sunday... who's with me?

Some Bitching
Had I known it would take my builder over a month to come back after I closed on my house, I wouldn't have closed until all the repairs/to-do list items had been completed. It's not like I've been really demanding about it, either.

Random Tuesdayness - The One Where I'm In Utah
It's effing Tuesday. Betcha had no idea, right? That's what I thought. Guess what? I just made myself dinner for the very first time in my new house. Pretty cool, eh? Well, if you have no idea where I'm going with this, that's the idea, because it's Tuesday and time for some Randomness. If you want to play, go talk to Keely at The UnMom... she's pretty rad.
According to my nifty little New Moon countdown widget, the movie comes out in 2 days, 23 hours and then some. But... I get to see it on Thursday night at 7, so I get to shave 5 hours off the actual premiere time. I'm cool like that. Be jealous... be very jealous. I just saw an exclusive clip on Leno and it was awesome. I can't wait for Thursday night!I have a confession to make. I didn't really get anything accomplished today (Monday, that is, because I'm trying to get ahead of the game and get this written before midnight tomorrow). I kind of just reveled in being in my house, with no committments other than work. I didn't even get dressed until 4 PM.
I made spaghetti and chili for dinner. I was going to heat up some Prego, but I think my brother used it all... that or someone stole it out of the pantry. In which case, an ass kickin' is in order.I have another confession to make. I am officially addicted to Facebook. It's so lame, I know. I'm blaming it on Carmen, Auri and Noelle. It's all their fault. So if you need to get my attention and can't, you can find me on there. Probably.
Men are effing lame. Can I just put that out there? Well, let me re-phrase that... most men, that is, single men near my age who live in and around Salt Lake City, are fucking losers. You got that? Fucking losers! Pardon the outburst, but I really needed to get that off my chest. I seriously don't understand what the hell is wrong with people. I've been chatting with this dude, his name is Chad, but his buddies call him Joe, or whatever, and we were supposed to hang out yesterday. The fucker never contacted me, nor has he since Saturday night. I should have known from the start when he said his name was Joe. He'll now be referred to as Joe the Loser.

My ass has been planted in nearly the same spot for almost 12 hours today. Sad, I know.
I should have gone to get the dog tonight. Oh well, maybe tomorrow night. Although, she's been naughty when she comes over, so I'll have to keep a close eye on her. She got on the kitchen table more than once last week and broke into a bag of beef jerkey and a McDonald's bag my bro left out. Yes, it's his fault for leaving it all out, but she hasn't done something THAT naughty since she was a baby.
I need to go to the chiropractor, but he's so effing expensive, I don't want to spend the money.
I'm taking Aidan on his date tomorrow night. He only turned 5 a month ago.... ya think it's about
time I get around to taking him on his date?! I'm not sure what we're going to see, but I'll let you know how it is, regardless.I'm watching Letterman and he and Paul keep saying Douche. It's pretty freakin' hilarious.
Ok, enough rambling for now. I need to start heading toward my bed. I'm tired and need some sleep. Plus I have a lot to do tomorrow... and get my nails done!

Cocktail, Anyone?
This weekend was so nice knowing that I didn't have to go back to Alabama come Monday. On Saturday, I had lunch with my mom, ran a few errands, came home to clean and had fun with the gang. On Sunday I slept in until 1 PM, chilled, cleaned up a bit and had dinner with the parentals. I went grocery shopping and ended up missing the 2nd half of the Colts/Patriots game. Damnit! You may or may not have seen the vlog I uploaded early Sunday morning... If you haven't watched it yet, watch it. If you have, I hope it made you giggle. Anyway, I had some friends over on Saturday night to have a few drinks and see the new house. It wasn't the official house-warming party, but it was a party all the same. Not that we need a reason to party, but Jessica wanted Figs, so it sounded like a good time to get the pack together.

It's Thursday ... We're In Alabama
Caution: There is a nasty picture of my grievously injured toe halfway through this post. If you get queasy, don't say I didn't warn you.
Speaking of old... ha ha ha... yesterday was Papa Tomas's birthday (Auri's dad). He took this gorgeous picture of Miss Taryn on Halloween up City Creek Canyon. Happy, Happy Birthday, Papa Tom! I love you!

So I was on Twitter a few minutes ago and saw a tweet that said "Twilight stars were forced to evacuate their hotel." Apparently the fire alarm went off in their hotel in London and they had to get out. Yeah? So? The GD Effing Fire Alarm went off in my hotel the other night, TWICE, at midnight no less, and you don't see anyone writing any friggin' stories about me, do you? No. Rude.
My back and my hips hurt so badly I could cry. I just took some Advil. Didn't have any water, so I had to take it with coffee. That's gotta be good on my stomach. At least I ate breakfast! So yeah, I'm tired and cranky and in pain. And I don't want to work. But seriously, what else is new? Well, I'm off for now. Hope y'all have a great day and I'll see you soon!

Happy Birthday to My Bro!
Ok, ok, I'm a little late, but I just want to say Happy 24th to my little brother! As much as he drives me nuts and can be a shit, he's a pretty awesome bro! And I have to say thank you for going in on the house with me! Love you!
Make sure the house is clean when I get home! Ha!

Random Tuesdayness - The One Where I'm Bitchy Again
It's my last week in Alabama before I turn 30. Time to celebrate. Or something. "Need a sofa or a recliner? Go to Americanoak.biz." This commercial is on here in Montgomery all the effing time and it's driving me bonkers. If you wanna play RTT, go talk to Keely!
Heavy rainfall and flooding is definitely going to be a concern, per the weather dude on the news this evening. Biggest fears, coming true. Being in a hurricane. At least I'm far enough inland that I'm not going to be severely affected.
And now it's actually Tuesday. I started writing this last night, took half an Ambien, got in the hot tub, came back to my room and didn't have the energy to finish it. Oh shwell. Now I'm getting it in just under the wire for Tuesday.
Also, in case you hadn't noticed, I've failed miserably at NaBloPoMo. Maybe next year I can actually plan ahead for it and get all my shit in gear, instead of trying to do it by the seat of my pants, because that Obviously didn't work.
I lost a reader today... and on any other day, I think that would make me sad, today I don't really care.
Shout out to A Country Wife! She had her baby on Friday ... 11 pounds 6 ounces and he's beautiful!
Good news is Hurricane Ida was downgraded to a tropical depression by the time it hit the Alabama coastline at 5 AM today, so it's just been kind of windy and really rainy here. No major winds, and no tornado warnings, that I'm aware of.
I'm kind of in a I-don't-give-a-flying-fuck-about-anything mood. It's not a particularly healthy mood to be in, but I'm in one, and we all have to deal with it.
There are approximately 7 days until New Moon comes out. Maybe 8, depending on how you're counting. I'm sooo excited to go see it.
Have I ever mentioned how much I adore Captain Dumbass? Well, I do. And I want to make sure y'all know it. He cracks me up. His kids are effing adorable and he's got the coolest wife ever... not that I've ever met her, she just sounds like she rocks!
I bought a bottle of wine last week and it wasn't that good... so I went and bought another bottle of Pinot Evil. It's currently breathing and waiting for me to drink it.
There's a fairly new Lincoln MKX commerial out right now and it has a really cool song on it. "Under the Milky Way tonight," is part of the lyrics. Anyone know who the artist is?
This wine is really yummy. Y'all should try it out. If you like Pinot Grigio, that is.
I don't know if you remember from my posts last week, but I asked for some help... send me some ideas you'd like to see for my blog. Questions you'd like answered, advice you'd like given, anything else that floats your boat. This will help in my so-far-failed endeavor to post everyday this month. Get on it!
K, that's it for now. I'll have something fantabulous, or not, for you tomorrow!

Have I Ever Told Y'all That I'm Afraid of the Wind?
Well, I am, and it terrifies me. I'm not sure if any of you are aware, but Hurricane Ida is heading toward the Gulf States as we speak. I'm currently sitting in a Gulf State as we speak. One of my biggest fears is either being caught in a Tornado or a Hurricane, and the more time I spend in this part of the country, the better my chances are getting. Anyway, I had the worst flight coming into Montgomery this afternoon. It literally scared the shit out of me. I actually started saying little prayers because I thought, for sure, we were going down. I'm alive, thank God, but a bit frazzled after that. If the damn hurricane doesn't dissipate before Friday, I'm sure as hell not getting back on a plane... I'll rent a car and drive home!

I'm Officially Pissed/Freaking Out
And now I have no idea where it is. I seriously want to cry.
So I just ordered another one online. I figure, if I find it, great, and I'll return the one I just ordered. If I don't, then I'll have replaced it.
I have looked everywhere in my hotel room. I called down to the front desk and had them check the lost and found. I checked the car. It's nowhere to be found.
Yeah, worse things could happen, but I seriously want to cry!

Help Me Out, Yo!
Update:
I guess I need to clarify... I have done the online dating thing before... I'm looking for advice on how to communicate effectively b/c I feel like that's the one thing I lack... so yeah, help me out!
Ok kids, here's the deal. After hearing about a friend, who shall remain nameless, who has had some luck on a particular dating site, and then another friend who recently signed up, I'm giving it a try. Again.
What do you guys think about dating sites? Those of you who are single, of course, or have used them in the past.
I've tried quite a few of them and, obviously, haven't had much luck. Any great suggestions, advice, warnings I should know? Fill me in. I can use all the help I can get.
And tomorrow/today I'll be back with some good posting, I promise!

NaBloPoMo - I'm Gonna Do It
Except for the fact that I didn't blog on Sunday, I've blogged every day this week. And yeah, it's only Wednesday, but I'm moving a step in the right direction.... so I figure, why not participate in NaBloPoMo?! I guess I'm supposed to sign up for it or something, so I should probably go do that. Anyway, just wanted to let y'all know that you can be expecting 30 posts from me in the month of November. Maybe more, but no less. And since I missed Sunday (as it was the official start of the month, and I suck because I totally spaced it) I'm counting this post to fill in for it!
I'm sending out my feelers to you guys. I need your help here. I want you to ask me questions, ask for advice and tell me what you want to hear from me. That will help me on this little venture of mine. Don't hold back. Nothing is off limits here... except for farm animals and the like.
I expect to be hearing from y'all!

Random Tuesdayness - I've Gotta Be Sneaky
Ok, so the Random Tuesday badge isn't working and I don't want a broken link in my post, so I'm not including it today... don't hate, just get over it. And I've gotta be sneaky cuz I'm at work... good thing the bosses are sitting in their office (yes, they share one) with the door closed! Go talk to Keely if you want to play.
Have I ever mentioned where "Vumpire" came from? Auri's kids, mostly T-Bug, calls Vampires, Vumpires. Not really on purpose, that's just how he says it. Aidan does, too, and it cracks me up.
New Moon in 16 days, 9 hours, and so on... except, I think this is based on the Eastern time zone because that's not exactly right from the Utah time perspective... even though I'm in Alabama right now. But yeah, seriously, I'm getting so excited. And I now have three sweatshirts to choose from to wear to the premiere. Are the rest of the crew going to get them, too? Not sure yet, but if we do, I'll be sure to take pictures!
By the way... how is it possible to be aroused 24 hours a day? I just don't get it. It's sooo not fair!
So, I'm in Alabama this week. I get to go home for two days and then am in Alabama again next week. The week after that I get to stay home and work. The following week is Thanksgiving, so I get to stay home that week as well. The following week is the week of my 30th birthday (Good Lord, I can't believe I'm gonna be that old!) and since I'm heading to Vegas at the end of that week, I don't have to come to Alabama that week either! Can you believe it?!Sometimes things just work out, and sometimes they don't. For the most part, things have been working out for me and that makes me happy.
I work kitty-korner to the left of the Capitol Building... isn't it pretty? All the buildings that surround it are painted that stark white, and when you step outside on a sunny day, you better have some sunglasses handy. I plan on coming home from Vegas on Sunday night, so the bosses said I could work from home on Monday. I have to come back to Alabama on Tuesday and spend an entire week here! I don't even get to come home on the weekend... no fun! Oh well, that means I'll have over two weeks at home for Christmas, so I can't complain! That was a lot of random travel facts, hope I didn't bore you.
I had my kitchen chairs delivered finally last Thursday. When I got home Friday night I was just happy to see I had kitchen chairs. Five minutes later I realized they had delivered the wrong set of chairs for the 2nd effing time! Are you kidding me? Seriously? I ended up going into Ashley Furniture on Sunday to point at the original chairs I ordered. In fact, I need to call and see if they got the change order processed so I can get a new delivery date! Effing morons, I tell you! Those are the chairs I ordered to go with a slightly different table from the same collection. My hips hurt like you don't even know. I wish I had an explanation for why they hurt, but sadly, I don't. I wish I could just lie in bed and work for the rest of the day. That's how much pain I'm in. It's sooo not fun, let me tell ya. Then Aunt Flo decided it would be a great time to visit, so the rest of my body is unhappy as well.
I want to share some hotties from my books with you, but I have no idea who I'd cast to play any of those vampires. In fact, I have a hard time even imagining what their faces look like. Hot bods, I can tell you that much, but I can't get my brain to dream up much more than that!Well, enough rambling from me today. I should get back to work, even though I really don't want to! Better yet, I need some lunch! I hope y'all are having a fantabulous Tuesday and I'll see y'all soon!

Vampires on the Brain
So I'm driving down I-65 (or I-85, I can never keep them straight) and I see this huge building up on the right... and I immediately think of the Fellowship of the Sun (FotS). There are a ton of huge churches down here in Alabama, and every time I pass one (they're all the big Evangelical-type looking places) I think of FotS from the Sookie books. Wouldn't you?
As you might know, I've been reading the Black Dagger Brotherhood series by J.R. Ward, and I'm loving it! Good thing I thought to bring the next book in the series with me on my trip because I finished book 4 this morning. Good Lord, all I have to say is HAWTNESS!!! Holy mother of God, I can't handle the heat. I just got to a pretty major shocker in book 5... I won't give any details away, so you'll have to read the books... unless of course they're too hot for you to handle. How that's possible, I'm not entirely sure, but whatevs.
So pretty much everywhere I look now, I'm seeing people from the books. I swear I saw two Lessers last week in the airport... I saw at least three dudes today who were pretransition... and on and on... It's all I think about... and you thought I was crazy over Twilight!? I know you have no idea what I'm talking about, but I can't give anything away. It won't make sense if you don't read the books.
Speaking of heat and hottness, did y'all realize New Moon comes out in 18 days? Holy hell, I can't believe it, either. And how did I get so lucky that I get to work from home that week?! I was so worried I'd be stuck in Alabama and have to go see the damn movie by myself. But it all worked out in my favor... Yippee!
I was planning on reading the book right before the movie premiere, but I don't think I can put the Brotherhood down. It's not like I haven't read it twice already. It'll probably make it that much better so I'm not overanalyzing everything... it won't be so fresh on my mind. Ok kids.... I'm off to paint my nails... hope you have a good Monday night and I'll be back with some Randomness tomorrow!

Odum Looks Good in a Tux!
Odum & Dale's son, Chris got married on Saturday night and I was invited to the wedding... after I did the bride's makeup, of course. Chris and Katie are sooo cute together and I'm so happy for them. Odum and Dale looked soooo handsome in their matching tuxes with pink accessories. They actually matched the pink shoes the bride and bridesmaids wore!

Random Tuesdayness - How Many People Does It Take To Order Pizza?
Hello, hello.... how y'all doing this week? I've been crazy-busy since I got home on Friday and I see no end in sight. I'm back in Alabamerrr this week, and will be Monday -Friday for the next two weeks. After that, I officially get two weeks at home! Then the next week is my birthday and I'm going to Vegas... so really, I might get three weeks away from the office! Praise Jebus! Anyway, it's Tuesday. Time for some Random. Check out Keely and all her hottness if you need and explanation.
Seriously, how hard is it to decide what to have for dinner? And why do we all need to have dinner at the same place? And why do I have to be working at 8:30 PM this evening? We started at 8 AM!!! Well, guess what?! I'm not working, I'm blogging. And I'm ready to kill someone. This is not good people... the anger and aggression is coming out. And I think I'm PMSy, so that doesn't help. The tears will probably start flowing soon, too...
Noelle, Auri and I went to a Halloween party on Saturday night. That was after I did makeup for Odum's new daughter-in-law, had my makeup done at the Dior counter at Nordstrom, and went to the wedding. It was quite an eventful day, let me tell ya! I've got pics from the wedding in my camera which I don't have with me, so I'll share those tomorrow. Deal? Noelle and I were Sugar Plum Fairies. Aren't we cute?!
I'm ordering these checks... ASAP! I figure I'm justified because I moved, so I need new checks with my new address! Speaking of which, I have to change my address in like 942 different places. I'm assuming the "change of address" thingy I filled out with the postal service takes care of a lot of that, but what do I know? I've never moved since I've been an adult.
Paramore has a new album out and I think Jessica is crazy for only liking the first half of it. Maybe she should seek medical attention... that's the only solution I can think of for why she's not so into it. If you like Paramore, then check out their new shit. It's gooood!
I got the two sweatshirts I ordered. I'm currently wearing "Isle Esme" and it's soo damn cute. Auri and Noelle think we all need to get matching hoodies to wear to the premiere. Jessica and Odum are included in that bunch! By the way, Odum's house burned down. Well, it didn't really burn down, but the filter on the fish tank caught on fire and they've got a ton of smoke and water damage and have to have the whole house fixed. They're going to be living in a hotel for the next few months! Yuck!
I told y'all I'd be back with a review on Joss Stone's new album, so here I am. I . LOVE . JOSS!!! Not that I ever doubted my love for her, but I have this weird thing where when an artist I love comes out with a new album, I get really hesitant about it... thinking it won't be as good as the rest. I know, I have issues. Anyway, Joss's new album rocks. Kinda has an old school vibe. Go check it out. You won't be sorry!

I'm Doing Laundry at the Hotel
My colleague, Carmen, and I walked to Burger King today for lunch. When we got to the parking lot, this dude stepped up on the sidewalk in front of us and we actually had to stop so we didn't run into him. Then when we got to the door, he opened it wide enough only for himself to get through and made no attempt to hold it for us... we were RIGHT behind him. We went up to the counter to order and the worker gave the dude a strange look as he walked away... so I said to her, "Yeah, he's kinda weird." She said that she asked him if his order was to stay or to go and he replied with, "Just ring it up. You don't need to know what I'm doing." What an effing jerk! And a creep! What the hell is wrong with people? Only in Alabama, right? Ha ha ha!
I'm loving the Black Dagger Brotherhood series... I lent the first book to Aurs and haven't heard what she thinks of it. I finished the 2nd book last week and am about 1/4 of the way through the 3rd book. So hot... so steamy... so fab! I love them!Work has been sooo crazy the last few weeks. I have to say, though, it's a nice change to be busy rather than twiddling my thumbs waiting for the hours to pass by. We've been pulling 10+ hour days, then coming back to the hotel and working. I finally decided that I'm not working at the hotel anymore, unless something absolutely has to be finished. I need time to wind down and chill.
I talked to my mom earlier and she was waiting for my dad at Home Depot. I guess they were heading over to my house to hang some stuff up... the drapes and the stuff in the half-bath downstairs. Apparently we have a screen now on the sliding door to the backyard, but still no other repairs have been done. There were a few things that needed to be fixed after doing the walkthrough... the fans still need to be installed, as well. I guess the Contractor threw out his back and hasn't been able to get to it. BTW, those are my drapes, but in brown, not red... they're really cute!
These are the designs of the two sweatshirts I ordered. Apparently they arrived today. I can't wait to get home and wear them! Aren't they cute?
Oh yeah.... Auri got her shnoz pierced today... without me. Rude, much?!
Well, I better run. Hope y'all are having a fab week. The cable, internet and phone are going to be hooked up tomorrow, so I'll be back in the real world this weekend! Yippee!!!
