Random Tuesdayness - Holy Shit, I'm Closing Today!
Hey, guess what? It's Tuesday. Try not to look so surprised! If you wanna play, go talk to Keely. This is my RTT for the week. Hopefully it doesn't disappoint. If it does, sucks to be you!
That's my kitchen!
I should be packing right now seeing how I hardly have anything done, but instead, I'm delivering for you, my loyal readers. I feel like I'm incessantly apologizing these days, but I feel like the biggest slacker for not getting around to everyone's blogs as much as I used to. I guess that's what it means to be busy at work... I kinda forgot what it was like!
I've been hot since yesterday (Sunday) and I'm getting really annoyed by it. I can't seem to cool off, and the sad thing is, I'm not even in Alabama! I was granted the privilege of working from home this week so I can close on my house tomorrow (Tuesday) and start moving!
I'm reading a new vampire series by J.R. Ward (The Black Dagger Brotherhood). I told Jaime that it's not the usual kind of story I like to read (but then, vampire stories didn't used to be my thing either), but it's really hot, so it works. I finished the first book in about 2.5 days and I'm already a quarter of the way into number two. I'll let you know how it is.I'm loving the cooler weather we're having right now. Not necessarily looking forward to the snow, but I love wearing Fall & Winter clothes. Apparently the temps are going back up next week. Damn.
So yeah, I close on the house tomorrow. I'm so excited. Not nervous at all. I just want to get it over and done with and have those keys in my hands! I don't think I get the keys until Wednesday and I can't wait to start moving. It's going to take some time, plus I have to work this week, so I'm going to be exhausted by the time it's all done.
I did some packing last night and sliced the top of my hand open on a cardboard box... yeah, that felt good.
This is sooo not random tonight.
Auri's uncle is on the news right now. Weird. He's on talking about his Natural Gas Vehicle and the fact that it wouldn't pass inspection... I guess a bunch of people filed a lawsuit and they won!

Ok, I should really sign off now. Hope y'all have a great week and I'll be back with more on the house!

Quick (or not so quick) Update
I'm alive and well, for the most part. I haven't been around internetland much lately, in case you haven't noticed... but it's not for lack of wanting... I just haven't had the energy and have felt like crap... so forgive me.

Random Tuesdayness - The One Where I've Been on a Massive Hiatus

Wow... I can't believe my lack of blogging the last week and a half. It's kind of scaring me. The sad thing is, I'm not going to have much time to do much blogging in the next couple of days, either. This blows! Anyway, it's Tuesday, so go grab Keely's button at The UnMom and play along with Random Tuesday Thoughts. It's fun. I promise.
I had a dream I was a vampire on Sunday night. Rosalie was in it and everything. Then at one point I was topless. It was kind of disturbing.
Sadly, I didn't get my True Blood fix this week. The show took a little breather (aka, trying to kill me with anticipation) over the Labor Day weekend. The season finale is next Sunday!
I'll be traveling to Alabama tomorrow and then every week for the rest of the month. If anyone knows any great blogs written by any Alabamians, let me know.
I still have to post about Candace's trip here two weeks ago. We had such a good time, and I have some really great pics to share... I need to get around to it. I would have done it today, but it's Tuesday, and there are rules around here.
Entourage was also taking a breather this week. What the hell man? Because some people may go out of town on a holiday weekend, the rest of us losers who have to stay home have to suffer and not get to see our shows?! WTF?!
Packing for the move is giving me anxiety. I've only had to pack all my shit and move once in my life. This is weird.
I bought a bunch of stuff for the house over the weekend, including a fridge yesterday morning. We got up at the ass crack of dawn to stand in line at RC Willey to get a good deal. I guess that makes lack of sleep worth it!
My travel schedule for the next two weeks is God-Awful. I'm not looking forward to it. Let's just say I'm going to be spending A LOT of time in airports for the next little bit. Not my idea of a good time, to say the least.
Sorry this is so lame and short, but get over it! I'll be back soon with something of substance!
Boys, this is Nikki Reed, aka Rosalie Hale... Look closely, you can see nipple! Don't say I never gave you anything!

Random Tuesdayness - The Butt Ad and Some Boobs For the Boys
Oh my, where has the time gone? I haven't posted in a while... in case you didn't notice. I've had a busy last couple of days and loads to catch y'all up on! Since it's Tuesday, I'm pleasuring you with my Random Tuesday Thoughts as inspired by Keely at The Un Mom. Go check her out. She's more looney than I am (and that takes talent). Many of you have stated that you liked the picture of the butt, but couldn't read the print... I give it to you now:
MY BUTT IS BIG
AND ROUND LIKE THE LETTER C
AND TEN THOUSAND LUNGES
HAVE MADE IT ROUNDER
BUT NOT SMALLER

AND THAT'S JUST FINE.
IT'S A SPACE HEATER
FOR MY SIDE OF THE BED
IT'S MY AMBASSADOR
TO THOSE WHO WALK BEHIND ME
IT'S A BORDER COLLIE
THAT HERDS SKINNY WOMEN
AWAY FROM THE BEST DEALS
AT CLOTHING SALES.
MY BUTT IS BIG
AND THAT'S JUST FINE
AND THOSE WHO MIGHT SCORN IT
ARE INVITED TO KISS IT.
JUST DO IT.
I have something in my eye and it's really starting to piss me off. I'm thinking of going home to remove the contacts and get the glasses.... wonder what the boss-man will say?
I'm excited to say that I got Auri addicted to the Sookie books and True Blood. I cannot wait for her to come over and watch all of Season 2 on my TiVo. She's going to freak out. I'm thinking a marathon over the Labor Day weekend as suggested by Noelle. Which, I guess, is this coming weekend.... hmmm....we gotta start planning, girls!Apparently I'm going to Alabama next week. I still don't know for sure. This is starting to piss me off. I hate not being able to plan and being under control by someone else's schedule.
I have to go talk to the girls at the office/model home to pick out lighting for my house. This is getting crazy. Go one place for these 5 things, go somewhere else for these other 10 things. I'm sure I'll have to visit another office to pick something else out.
My right foot has a severe cramp... I'd like it to go away now.
This one's for the boys...
Ok, that's it for this lame-ass installment of Random Tuesdayness. I'll be back tomorrow with the shenanigans from the weekend.

Stuff to Buy, A Visitor from Alberta & My Butt
Where to start...
I had someone from Shreveport, Louisiana, view my blog. I think that's hilarious because of True Blood. That's Vampire Bill, Arlene (look closely, she doesn't have her red wig on), Sookie and Tara.
I'm still in shock about the house. I can't believe we got it! I can't believe I'm moving. It's going to take some major adjusting and it'll be really weird for a while! FYI, it won't be done until the end of September, so we probably won't be moving until the middle of October.
I'm making a list of things I already have, and a list of things I need for the house. I'm saying "I" instead of "we" because my brother's response to everything I ask him is, "I don't give a fuck." Ok. When one of the accent colors in the kitchen is pink, don't come complaining to me.
Maybe I'll buy a fridge this weekend... the house doesn't come with one. Just a stove/oven, dishwasher and microwave. No fridge. Do you think anyone will freak out if I buy the pink one? If I get the new rebates for that and the washer and dryer, maybe no one will mind!
Candace from Sarcastically Bitter is arriving in Salt Lake this afternoon! I'm so excited! I have a few things planned for us to do... and other than that, it's up to her. Lots of hanging out with my peeps and going out is on the list. Any suggestions?
My last week on the Utah project is next week. I need to start cleaning the crap out of my office. Good thing I don't have too much. I'm not going to Alabama next week, but maybe the week after that. I still don't know. I hate waiting and not having plans.
I found this picture online yesterday. I actually had this ad, torn out of a magazine, hanging on my cubicle back in the day. I'm so happy I found an online version. It cracks me up and I love the message!
I could NOT fall asleep last night and it pissed me off. I even took half an Ambien. I guess buying a house will do that to you. I wonder if I can pull of taking a nap, getting the car cleaned and all the other crap I have to do before I have to pick up Candace at the airport?!
My skin is finally starting to clear up... I haven't been using all the Proactiv stuff, just the "repairing lotion." My skin is so damn temperamental it drives me crazy. Hopefully this upward trend will stick around for a while. I'm sick of looking like a pre-pubescent child.
My mom and dad made a bet last night. My dad bet my mom $500 that I would have to pay extra to get remote garage door openers. My mom and I say they come with the house, and we don't have to pay extra. I can't wait to see who wins this one! He tried betting her that if she lost, she had to listen to, and agree with him about everything for the next three years... like that's going to happen!
Maybe we can use that money to buy a washer and dryer. I need a pair of those as well. The red ones are pretty, but I think they're more expensive... we'll get what we can afford... and hopefully mom and dad can help... or we can finance them and pay them off in a year!
I need to do my makeup. I brought it with me to work because I got up late. What else is new.

I GOT THE HOUSE!!!
I got the house! Woo hoo! They accepted my counter offer for $100 more than my original! I can't believe this is happening right now... I think I'm in shock! We won't be moving for a bit because the house isn't done yet, but the ball is rolling! Yippee!!!

House Update
I finally heard back a out my offer at 5:15 last night. That's exactly 73.5 hours after I'd made it. Waaay too long to be waiting for an answer, if you ask me. Anyway... as far as I know, the contractor was happy to accept my offer, but the developer wasn't. So they countered. For $945. NINE HUNDRED AND FORTY FIVE FUCKING DOLLARS! Yeah, I know. Don't get me started. They did offer to pay closing costs, so that's a step in the right direction, I guess. I'll keep y'all updated on the progress. THIS HOUSE WILL BE MINE!!!
(This picture has nothing to do with anything... it's just one of my favorites!)

Random Tuesdayness - I'm Still Waiting...
Hey, guess what?! It's Tuesday (well, actually it's Monday, but let's pretend), and thus is time for a Random Tuesday Thoughts post. Keely started this, got me addicted, and now she's gonna have to pay for my rehab. Go check her out.
I would like to state for the record that I'm starting this post on Monday afternoon in hopes of having it up early enough on Tuesday to not feel like a loser. (And now it's officially Tuesday and I'm still not done...)
I'd really like to be posting to tell you they've accepted my offer on the house, but the truth is, I STILL HAVEN'T HEARD FROM THEM AND I'M LOSING MY EFFING MIND!!! It's already almost 3 PM, so the news has to be coming soon.
And now it's Tuesday, and still no answer....
I just remembered I need to do a post for my favorite toy... remember, it'll be posted over on Auri's blog, so check her out in the meantime. I'll let you know when it's up... no double entendre intended. Yeah, right.
Rachel over at I'm a Mom in Real Life is hosting a giveaway on her blog. I don't normally post about giveaways on other people's blogs, but this is for a good cause. Go check it out and help her out if you can. She's bribing you with gifts, so that never hurts!
True Blood on Sunday was amazing! I think I say that every week, now. Seriously, I can't get over Eric and all of his sexiness. He's hot. Don't argue with me. I want him... but you already know that.
I'm listening to I Gotta Feelin' by the Black Eyed Peas trying to induce good vibes. The chorus is "Tonight's gonna be a good night..." and I'm willing that to happen. Jesus! The anxiety is going to either kill me or give me a major ulcer!
Update: Today is Alexander Skarsgard's birthday! Happy birthday Hottie Man!
I'd like to mention that I bought Auri the first Sookie book for her birthday, she read it in a day or so, and now she's hooked. I took the Season 1 DVDs over to her and she stayed up until 5:45 Sunday morning watching the episodes. I think she got through all 12 in less than 24 hours. The girl is crazy! Plus she has 3 kids!
Auri, Otin & Mr. Condescending are currently battling for a spot in my guest room (provided I get the house). Maybe we should do some little online competition for it or something. Any suggestions?
I've been listening to a lot of Rise Against the last few days. I was thinking it's funny that they're one of my favorite bands, yet I don't know a lot about them. I should check them out. Maybe I'll do a post on them later. Anything to keep my mind off things!
Finished reading Secret Diary of a Call Girl. I think I'm giving it 3.5 out of 5 stars. I thought it would be a little racier. But it was good. Got mundane in a few parts. Otherwise, worth the read if you want to know all about being a call girl!
Only 86 days until New Moon comes out. I cannot wait! I watched Twilight on Sunday... it had been a while.
Doesn't this picture just make you crave more? OMG, I can't wait!!!

Monday Morning Anxiety
So I did it. I made an offer on my townhouse. And it's a lot of money. And I'm freaking out. But it's what I want and that's what matters. My bro is cool with it, too, so that's good since we're splitting the mortgage! I put the offer in on Saturday afternoon and now I have to wait to hear back from the builder as to whether or not he'll accept my offer. I can't wait much longer before my head explodes... although, I'm actually surprisingly calm today. This is a major step for me... I've never even bought a car!
I will post as soon as I hear and let everyone know if/when it's official. Until then, cross your fingers, toes, eyes, and anything else you can manage to cross for me! I need all the support I can get!

I Can't Sleep So I'm Blogging at 2 AM

I've always lived at home, with my family. Neither my brother nor I have ever moved out. It's time to fly the coop. I have lived in two houses my entire life. And better yet, I've always lived in the same neighborhood. The first house we lived in until I was 14. We moved maybe 1/2 mile up the street and we've lived in this one ever since. My family lives in a nice area in the suburbs and we are just about as middle-class as they come. We are kind of the "typical" family... Mom, Dad, daughter, son, a dog and a white picket fence. Well, not white picket, but we live in a nice house. There are no complaints here.
My new townhouse is going to be in a different part of town. Still in the suburbs, but I'll actually be in a different city altogether. I think the shock of driving "home" is going to take some getting used to. I've always driven on the same roads to get me where I need to go. Now I'm going to be taking different paths to get places and that just seems strange to me. Most people would just get over it, but I've come home to the same area for nearly 30 years. Wow. It's gonna be weird.
I'm scared about all of the adjustments that I'm going to have to make in such a short period of time. Moving out, having a mortgage, being an adult for the first time in my life. I'm looking very forward to it all, but at the same time, it scares the shit out of me. In the past, I wouldn't have been ready for all of this. I'm ready for it now. I'm just scared. I think that's a justified feeling, no?So, tomorrow I take the first step toward fulfilling a major life goal. I'm putting an offer on a townhouse that I love and I'm excited/scared/nervous all at the same time. Granted, my brother and I are buying it together, but it's going to be life changing, nonetheless. I'm 99.5% I'm ready for it. The other 0.5% is keeping me awake and causing my brain to run a million miles an hour!
I have a few basics (e.g., martini glasses, a vacuum, steak knives, serving bowls and a toaster oven), but there is going to be so much that I need to buy... dishes, silverware, a fridge, a washer & dryer, hopefully a new bed and a dresser ... lots of stuff! I need a loan just for the other stuff I have to buy!I'll let you guys know how it goes if I don't die from a panic attack!
