1. 7 things? Seriously? Don't you know pretty much everything about me already?
2. Let's see... Tom posted a picture from the Spiral Jetty Sirens shoot yesterday and I'm slightly embarrassed about it. So embarrassed in fact, I'm sharing it with you. The embarrassment mostly comes from the fact that I did, in fact, bare my right boobie. Tom has ever-so-artistically covered it with a dove. For some reason, I don't care if you guys see it, but I don't necessarily want my family seeing it. Is that weird? In addition, I feel like I'm becoming slightly narcissistic as a result of the shoot.
3. I have become a huge fan of Color Splash on HGTV. It's hosted by David Bromstad who is absolutely wonderful. Not to mention the man is gorgeous! Anyway, he does an original painting for each of the makeovers he does and has totally inspired me to paint. I'll be the first to tell you how artistically-challenged I am, but I figure I can do abstract. That'll work for me. I bought two canvases and some paint last week and I hope to play around with it this weekend!
4. I'm going to paint my family room, kitchen and dining area this weekend. I bought small samples of the paint I chose to try them out on the walls and make sure I like them. I even got some Frog Tape so I can start taping off the baseboards, ceiling, cupboards, etc. I can't wait to get that done and start on the backsplash in the next month or two. Lisa, get your gloves ready.
5. I wish I had $20,000 to spend solely on decorating my house. I'd buy new furniture for the family room, a bedroom set for myself, and a nice desk setup for the office. I would paint all the rooms fun, vibrant colors and accessorize to my heart's content. Hell, I could even do all that with $10,000. Anyone want to donate to my cause?
6. I'm getting really sick and tired of putting up with a certain person I work with. I'm done being treated like a five year old. Excuse me, but last time I checked I have a Bachelors Degree and a Masters Degree and think I'm competent enough to do what needs to be done. Shit, I'm even thinking of going back for another Masters. So kiss it.
7. I would love to take some cooking classes. I really don't mind cooking, and I know how to cook... I'm just not very good at it. I told Jessica this tonight after I overcooked our eggs and forgot to flip the pancakes that got a little too crispy. There's my list... did you like it? Now it's your turn:
