I have a new favorite place to chill/work/drink coffee. It's called Diva's Cupcakes and Coffee and it's fabulous. Don't get me wrong, I still love my Starbucks, but this place is great. It's located on about 1500 East and 3300 South (for those of us in Salt Lake) and I can't get enough of it. The cupcakes are divine. The coffee is tasty. And they even have real food... yeah, like sandwiches, and salads, and soup. And the tomato basil is to-die-for. It's a little spicy for my taste, but it's so good, I don't care. The building itself is pretty cool, too. It's in an old nursery/greenhouse that's been redone. The nursery portion has been remodeled and the greenhouse is still intact... and it's now a seating area. It's all nice and warm and humid in there. (Kinda reminds me of what it would be like to be in the forest with Edward...) ANYWAY... I've yet to experience it firsthand as it's always full when I've been here, but I'll let you know how it is if I ever get a turn! I love the place so much I came over here today to grab some lunch and do some work. The confines of my office were getting to me and I couldn't handle it anymore. So, if you're in the area, stop by and give Diva's a try. You won't be sorry!

So I was here last night and your music player thingamajig was playing some song I liked and it turned out it was from Twilight and the guy in me shrieked and backed away like a little girl (what?) but I really liked it so I had to download it and then I downloaded some more and now I have a lot but I'm taking all references to Twilight out because, well, just because.
That cupcake looks good.
So now I'm curious, Captain... which song was it? And did you download the soundtrack, or more of the music from that particular band?
Those cupcakes looks soooo yummy...I'm coming to Salt Lake right now to have one!
Sounds like a neat place to go. I'd bring a good book and sit there for hours! And cupcakes? Yummy!

there's nowhere near me that has good cupcakes. and the last time i tried to bake, i half burned/half undercooked brownies that are impossible to screw up. you know, the kind you just unwrap and plunk in a pan.
Brooke & CW - I've had their Red Velvet with cream cheese frosting and they're fabulous. Yesterday I tried the chocolate with cream cheese frosting and it is even better. If you ever come to Utah, I'm taking you to get cupcakes!
SB - It's definitely a place to chill with a good book. Especially in the "conservatory" which is the greenhouse. It's awesome. Too bad I'm always doing work when I'm there!
Jaime - I can bake, but I can't cook. So I feel your pain. And there are a ton of cupcake places that have sprouted up around here. Diva's has the best so far!
Who doesn't love coffee and muffins? YES PLEASE!
Not surprisingly, a couple of gay guys own the place. By you already knew that, right?
