Happy Earth Day - I Should Be In Hawaii, Oh Wait, Nevermind

Happy Earth Day, everyone! Hope y'all are enjoying your day, wherever you are. I'm happy to report the weather is perfect here in Salt Lake and sadly, I'm stuck inside, working. I think I'll be taking a break here in a few to to soak up some rays! Nothing makes me happier than sitting in the sun. I realize it's not "good" for me, but it makes me feel good, so I don't really care!

A few years back I received an e-mail from a Jack Johnson website with information for the Kokua Music Festival. I read through it and decided I had to go. And I have said, every year since then, that I would attend the festival the following year. Well guess what? The festival would be going on this week, and guess where I am? Oh yeah, I already told you I'm in Salt Lake... working. Damnit! Still haven't made it to the festival... but one day, I will!

So as I was looking around the web for pictures from the festival, I found out that they're not actually holding the festival this year... which makes me feel good that I didn't actually miss it this time. Ha! Next year, baby, next year! The lineup changes every year but usually includes Jack Johnson and the likes of Matt Costa, Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds, Mason Jennings, Eddie Vedder, Ben Harper, G Love & Special Sauce, Michael Franti & Spearhead, and many others. Coincidentally, Michael Franti & Spearhead are playing a free concert here in Salt Lake tonight at the Gallivan Center. I think I'm going, but not sure with who!

Anyway, I hope everyone is enjoying their day and takes some time today to do something nice for the Earth.
