Say hello to Fergie, aka Fergalicious, aka Fergalish - two out of a slew of nick names I have for her. For Christmas in 2000, my brother told my parents all he wanted was a dog, and if he didn't get a dog, then he didn't want anything. Talk about a manipulative drama queen! So what did he get for Christmas? Yep, he got Ferg. She is his baby. We call him her Mommy. It's enough to make just about any normal person barf. It's especially nauseating to see the way my mom acts with her. My mom has never been an animal person, and in the last 8 1/2 years since we've had Fergie, my mom has become all about dogs! It's kind of disgusting to see the massive transformation she's made.
I don't know why I decided to do a post about Fergie, especially since she doesn't particularly like me... but she's just so damn cute, I couldn't resist. She's almost like a cat in that she'll come to me when she wants to, when it's convenient for her. I can call her and call her, and what does she do? She jumps up on anyone else's lap, but mine. Some of you may ask if I've ever been mean to her... The answer is No. Sure I yell at her when she chases the vacuum so fervently that she trips over the cord and rips it out of the wall... but that's about the extent of it. And no matter how much I want 'loves' from her, she refuses to give them to me. 
Anyway, I had to post the pictures of her sleeping because she cracks me up. She likes to lay in the crack of the couch between the cushions and put her feet up against the back of it. I have no idea why or where she got it from, but she's comfy, and she'll sleep all night like that. As long as Fergie is happy, so is everyone else! And just for the record, I called her Fergalicious long before the song ever came out!Don't forget to check out the latest makeover on my makeup blog!

Yes, I too have a slew of nicknames for our dog Spike… Spikster, Diddly Dog, Pupster, etc. And songs galore with each.

Jen - Yes, the blanket is actually hers. We bought the fabric to make it for my cousin's new baby, but I was so mad at that part of my family, I made it for the dog instead.

As an aside, did you know that the real Fergie (the one from Black Eyed Peas and Josh Dushamel fame, not the actual Dutchess from the UK) peed herself on stage a few years ago? Google it. That stuff is true, yo.

My little Lenny (the bichon) sleep exactly like that.
Haha Lola does that too, laying splayed out on the couch. I tell her to stop being a slut and close her legs. I imagine she'd bite me if she understood. haha
Joanie - It cracks me up how they sleep in such unusual positions!
Brooke - We used to tell our old dog the same thing. Whenever someone would come to the house, she'd roll over and let her legs fly open. We told her she needed to act like a lady and close her legs!
