Apparently, telling someone or something they can "Suck it!" is my new favorite phrase seeing how I've used it non-stop since last week. It really just conveys so much... it works. If you hadn't figured out by the hot button off to the left, it's Tuesday, and time for another Random Tuesdayness entry.
I signed up to do the Tour de Cure on June 13th. It's a fundraising event for the American Diabetes Association where participants do a bike ride of either 1 mile, 25 miles, or 40 miles (or something like that). I had every intention to start training early and do the ride. Well guess what? I still haven't gotten my ass on a bike... and the ride is in a week and a half. Guess I won't be riding this year. I feel like a loser.
I'm entirely sick of hearing Nirvana on the radio. I used to love Nirvana... when I was in Junior High. I listened to "In Utero" at least 9,000 times, between the ages of 14 and 17. I was an angst-ridden teenager and needed my angry music. I'm over it now. Let's move on. X96 (the station I listen to) plays Nirvana at least 100 times a day and I can't take it anymore. I swear to God, every time I turn on the radio, Nirvana is playing. There is so much new music out and they insist on playing all the old crap from the '90s with a bit of new stuff mixed in here and there. That's it, I'm done!
I feel like an idiot today. I had to wear my trouser-style jeans to work because all of my work pants were in the laundry. Had I been coherent last night I would have done some laundry, but I totally spaced it and had to wear jeans today. I'm a douche.
I'm effing exhausted. I got home from San Diego on Sunday night at 10 PM, dropped Noelle off at home, and went home to wash my hair. Since I didn't have enough room to pack shampoo, conditioner, root lifter, spray gel, mousse and hair spray (along with my blow dryer and diffuser) I opted to wash my hair on Friday before we left and planned on washing it when I got home. I usually go three days, so it worked. However, I had to be up at the ass-crack of dawn Monday morning, so I decided to shower and wash my hair when I got home Sunday night. I've struggled to keep my eyes open for the last 36 hours.
Random things said/heard/read while in San Diego:
~Damn! This bitch can corner on a dime.
~I'm in Diego, Bitch!
~AAH!
~I thought you said this was 2.62 miles
~Again, you're no fun!I've decided I want a Chrysler 300. Remember my 300th post when I mentioned that I would get to drive one someday if it was the last thing I did (or something like that)? Well we rented one in San Diego and I fell in love. It's roomy. It's comfy. It handles well. And it's a damn smooth ride. Now I have to break the news to my dad. I don't think he'll let me buy one. But hell, they should be cheap... we'll see what he says.
I'm sorry that I haven't been around blogland much... except to post. With both of my trips, crazy meetings at work and lack of a personal computer (so I can look at all of the questionable content not on my work computer) I haven't been around to everyone's blogs that much lately. Just know it's not because I don't love you. I've just been busy.
Ok, kids, I'm out. I've got other posts to write (specifically about the remainder San Fran and the San Diego trip), and another fun meeting to attend in 30 minutes! Check out Keely to take part in RTT!
And as always, a hottie for good measure...

I'm diggin' both those rides: the pink one and the blue one :)
Yes!! Somebody else finally said it, Nirvana has GOT TO GO!!! X96 is a biggest violator of playing Nirvana. It's either Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers or Green Day, all of which need to Suck It. There ya go, Erica.
nirvana is still on the radio???? good luck with the tour de cure. i'd never be able to do that one... particularly since i don't know how to ride a bike.
left you an award on my blog
go collect :)
you deserve it!
(the post publishes tomorrow at noon)
You could still ride 1 mile! That's nothin' on a bike :) Do it! Do it! Do it!
:P
Yes Nirvana and Bitter sweet symphony need to go! Never liked them at never will!
Yeah, what Keely said! You can still do the one mile, or at the very least, volunteer at the rest stop.
Nirvana does need to go. I'm not a fan of X96. I listen to 101.9 The End. Except for Grant Ruby, he can suck it!!
loving this entry! :)

Hi dudie... You've felt that way about Nirvana since I've known you dude... which has been a few years now. And although I think Kurt was a whiny poser I still like their music. Oh shvell... we can't all be the same;) Glad you're back. xoxo
