It's Tuesday... no shit?! That means it's time for another edition of Random Tuesday Thoughts. If you don't know what they're about by now, get with the program, sister! Or go read Keely's blog to find out because I'm not going to tell you again (sounding like an angry mother)!
I've been MIA from blogland for a few days and it feels kinda weird. The funny thing is, I have a lot of ideas to write about, but I just haven't sat down to write anything. I may also have a teensy tinsy case of writer's block. I dunno, just sayin'. And yes, I said teensy tinsy.
Did anyone see the Season Premier of True Blood on Sunday? All I have to say is Wow! Even though it's straying pretty far from the book, I'm loving it! If you haven't seen it yet, don't read this next couple of lines... I'm sooo happy they didn't get rid of Lafayette! Not that I know what's gonna happen to him, but I'm glad he's still there! I can't wait to see what happens with Jessica (the new vampire) and Maryanne (who the hell knows what she is)!
My allergies are starting to get to me. I've been sneezing quite a bit more than normal lately. Just sneezed again...And my eyebrow is twitching.
I didn't get a chai at the Starbucks today... I decided to go old school and ordered a peppermint mocha. I think the baristas may have staggered a little after I ordered. I told them I was trying to keep them on their toes.
I've drank a lot over the last four days. Drinking on Friday. Drinking on Saturday. Sober on Sunday. Drinking on Monday.
Weekend recap: Friday was Wikiball's Birthday Party at her apartment. Paul & Britt came over and Mr. Martinez kept us entertained all evening. Too bad some of the girls couldn't make it... you missed out!
Saturday night was my friend Lindsay's Bachelorette Party. There'll be a post in and of itself for that one... can anyone say "Skanky Hos" (not our party, but everyone else at the bar)?
Sunday was a chill day simply because I didn't go to bed until 4 AM and needed to catch up on some sleep. That afternoon I took Tristan on a date for his birthday. Yes, he's 7, but I've been taking the kids on "dates" to the movies for their birthday. We went to see Up and it was really cute. It was a little slow, but we liked it. And I just remembered I'm a horrible Auntie and didn't do a shout-out post for his birthday... I'll get right on it!
Last night was my friend Lindsey's (another Lindsey) Birthday dinner. We went to Eva's and it was really good. Good cheap food... what more can you ask for?! The restaurant is located on 317 S. Main Street in Salt Lake, right between Shogun and Cheers To You, and definitely worth checking out! Girls in attendance include Kris Johnson, Di Bradley (yes we call them both by their full names), Lindsey, Holly, Auri and myself and we had a great time.
I'm so excited for SYTYCD this week. I'm sad about the two who got sent home last week, but oh well, that's the natural progression of the show. Remember how I said I love Adam Shankman? Well I'm now following him on Twitter... I love it!
I didn't take very many pictures over the weekend. In fact, I don't know that I even got the camera out on Friday. I'm losing my touch.
I'm starting back at the gym this week. Time to get my tushie in gear. I'll let you know how things go, like maybe doing a weekly update... more for myself than y'all. Feel free to give me positive feedback cuz lord knows I can use it... but if you start hounding me, I'll bite you.
I actually enjoy working out. Believe it or not, I used to weigh 100 lbs less than I do now. Yeah, I'm that person... I gained that much weight. And it sucks my ass. But I'm ready to do this on my terms. I'm excited to get back into spinning. I used to spin 3 days a week and I miss it. That's my goal for the summer!
I need a nap... I'm effing tired and I couldn't get out of bed this morning. On any given day, I'm asleep from the time I go to bed until about 3 PM. I'm wide awake from then until I go to bed. I've often thought I need to get an evening job.... Corporate America doesn't do evening hours.
I have to make dinner tonight and I don't want to. When I cook an entire meal it takes me upwards of 3 hours to make everything, serve it, and then clean it all up. Cooking shouldn't be so damn time consuming. Argh! I think I'm going to try a Lemon-Herb grilled chicken tonight. We'll see how it turns out. I was thinking to make lemon rice with it... too much lemon?
And returning to the subject of vampires, go read Tia's post to the crazy girls who won't leave RPattz alone!
Just for the record... when I add pictures of hot chicks for the guys, they don't say anything, so no more hot chicks for you!

The amount of time that it takes to cook as said above is why I use the crockpot ALL. THE. TIME. :)

I am totally allergy ridden right now, too. Ugh. I think all the rain around here has made the plants go pollen-crazy.

I had such a great time last night! The girls always have a blast. I think it's funny that it doesn't matter how much time has gone by we all pick up right where we left off. Tristan had so much fun on your date! I think it's great that you do that:) such a good tata! Can't wait to do toes thos week!!

I just had to say my two or so words about True Blood. I am new to this show, I have one more book to read, and then I am going to start them over! I seriously need a 12 step program!!! I can't wait to see more of Eric! He is the Vampire God of Sex! Seriously...Book 4 my fave! Anyway, I loved the season premier. I loved the lines "you have awakened something in me that I thought I had lost...I will not appologize for loving you..." Does it get any better than that? Not for me! And, I think Laffeyette will be made a vampire... and I think Maryanne is the Maenade and that she wants tribute, not $. Those are my thoughts for today, but when I watch it again, it may change...
