I had a movie marathon over the weekend. What else was I supposed to do? Auri worked like 100 hours so I didn't have anything else to do... ha ha ha, just kidding.
Auri, Brittany and I went to see Australia on Friday night. Let me just say this... if you want an epic, tear-jerking, absolutely fabulous movie, go see Australia. If not, then don't listen to me. We had to drive to the theater in BFE to see it because that was the only place it was playing, and I'm so glad we took the journey... totally worth it! The three of us bawled for the entire last hour. When it was over, through her sniffling, Britt said, "Yeah, that was good." I guess you had to be there.
On Sunday afternoon I went with Miss Rosie-Poo to see Last Chance Harvey. It was a movie I wanted to see, but it honestly wasn't on the top of my list. It's a really cute movie, but it moved a little too slowly for my liking. Oh well, for me, almost any movie seen in the theater is good. Seeing how I still can't get DVDs to play on my tube at home, I welcome anything I can get.
Finally, on Monday I went with Noelle to see Bride Wars. I'm a sucker for a chick-flick. At least I'm easily entertained, right? Aurs had said it wasn't a movie she'd pay to see in the theater, but I think if she had gone, she'd be pleasantly surprised. Anyway, I loved it. Totally cute. If you haven't seen it yet, go with a BFF. I went with one of mine and I know the experience would have been a bit less enjoyable had I gone with someone not as close. And, we decided, that Deb, who is played by Kristen Jonhston (she used to be on 3rd Rock) is our Rose... ha ha ha!
