Jebus, Therapy, A Cute Boy & Friends

I had a "Come To Jesus" talk with the girls on Wednesday night (the girls being Auri, Jessica & Noelle). They helped me to see my dad's point of view on the home-buying stress & issues I'm having. Apparently I got a little too heated talking about it because one of the chicks at Cold Stone (mind you, we were outside) turned around and gave me a dirty look. Whatever. Auri actually reached for my purse looking for my phone. She said she was going to call my therapist and make me an appointment. Lucky for her, I already had one scheduled for the following day (which was yesterday)!

Speaking of which... can I tell you how much I adore my therapist?! She is wonderful. I've seen her for about five years now and don't know what I'd do without her. She even read my blog... isn't that funny? I figured it would help give her some more insight into my crowded little mind... and sometimes it's easier to write about things than it is to convey them in words. So yeah... I told her about the psycho. She thinks he's either a con-artist, or just a really screwed up weirdo. She's usually pretty close on these things considering she observes people's behavior for a living.

So yeah... I was also thinking that it's weird I participate in Random Tuesday Thoughts... because the majority of my posts are Random Whicheverdayoftheweekitis Posts. Oh well. At least they're fun and entertain me. That's the main goal here.

My grandparents were honored by the City of Holladay today for being Heroes in the Community. Pretty cool, huh?! They had a nice little lunch for them and gave them an award. They have the Kindergarten class from the Catholic school in their neighborhood come visit their garden a few times a year and the teacher came to the luncheon. She brought them presents and a huge "Thank You" banner made by the class. It was really cute.

One of my grandma's best friends is Jeanne. Jeanne is an amazing woman. She's from Boston, has lived in Salt Lake for at least 45 years, and still has a really heavy accent. I love listening t her. She called someone a "tree hugger" once, but she pronounced it "tree hugga," and my mom and grandparents had no idea what the hell she was saying. It was funny, but you probably had to be there. Anyway, Jeanne has cancer. It started off as lung cancer (I think) and has metastacized throughout her entire body. She was given three weeks to live well over three years ago, and she's still going strong. The Hospice nurses estimate she only has a few days left every week and she continues to prove them all wrong. I really adore her... she's such a sweet woman. I pray that she isn't suffering, but she's such a strong cookie, she'd never admit to anyone if she was. She was at the little luncheon today and it was so good to see her.

I have been the biggest slacker this week. I feel like I haven't blogged, but in actuality, I've posted everyday. I haven't gotten much done in the way of work... which makes me feel like a total loser... but I have the rest of today and the whole weekend to get things completed, so I'll be ok. This is when working from home isn't the best route to take. Oh well. Got the big assignment done about 20 minutes ago and have the next one to work on for the rest of the afternoon. I'll be tweaking them over the weekend.

I sent S an email on Monday afternoon and gave him my phone number. I think I already mentioned that sometime this week. Anyway, I didn't hear from him at all, and then yesterday morning I had a text from him. I was beyond excited. Obviously since I'm telling you about it. He and I texted back and forth all day yesterday and had some good conversation. I get a really good feeling about him. Auri said she did as well, so we'll see what happens. We've texted a bit today, but we're both busy, so I told him to either text or call me later... we'll see if he does!

I went to dinner with Auri and Di last night. Di, aka Di Bradley, is a good friend of mine that I've actually known since 7th grade. We didn't actually become close until 10th grade French class. Mr. Calder brought us together. Oh the memories. Anwyay, we had dinner at J. Wong's last night and it was really good. I'd definitely recommend it. The three of us decided we need to have a mandatory monthly dinner together. We don't hang out very often and that just needs to change.

I think being busy is always good with men! It shows them we have a life.
I don't always pick up when the hubby calls me (I do call him back later). He gets too used to me being at his beck and call otherwise.

PS I tagged ya for an award :)

I am curious to know the screen names of the guys you met on match. Jess says that we have similar tastes in men. So I want to make sure that I don't hook up with any psychos!!

I understand about the working from home! Sometimes I wonder how I get anything done at all.

Good luck with S, I have my fingers crossed that things work out well!

SB - Yes, I'm very easily excited. Especially when it comes to guys. It's kind of sad, I know!

CW - Thanks for the award. It makes me laugh that you don't always answer when Hubby calls. I don't know if I could do that!

Cortnee - I think it's funny that Joe has winked at you too! He's such a psycho. He's the only psycho I've been out with. Oh, and then there's the crazy sex-fiend. I'll have to find his name and send it to you!

Jaime - I'm pissed they won't let you on blogger at work anymore. So lame!

Petra - I feel like I haven't done anything in the last month... it sucks! I'll keep y'all updated on S!

i love getting texts for my man :)
its just cute to know that he is thinking about you even when he is not with you.
but watch out ...if you start a relationship after a while you begin to get irritable when he doesn't text you.

J Wongs was fun... but as a Chinese/Thai food lover... I'm sorry to say that I have other places I'd go first... though dessert was the best part... coconut sticky rice and mango!!! Yumm!!
