I was going to title this post "The First Snow" but then I remembered it already snowed once this year... how could I forget about the ice chips flying at my head in Torrey? I guess I was trying to block the incident from my memory. Anyway... today was the first snow storm in Salt Lake that I've witnessed for the season. I hate the snow. I have no idea why I feel the need to live in Utah and subject myself to the annual onslaught of freezing cold temperatures, incessant white stuff, and the joys of having to leave my car parked at the park because I can't get it up our hill. Yeah, I don't know either, so don't ask. I do have to concede though, and confess that there are two times when I don't cuss the snow... the first is the span of time between Thanksgiving and New Years. The second is right after a big storm when I can look out across the valley and see it covered in a total blanket of white. As much as I hate the snow, it's really beautiful to see the city after the clouds have cleared and the valley looks so peaceful. I was going to take some pictures when I got home, but I didn't leave work until 6, and since it was dark, I figured pictures wouldn't really turn out. I'll take some tomorrow. And if you'd like to read about how I feel about the snow during the rest of the year, you can refer back to one of my first posts titled, "The GD F'ing Snow." And yes, the picture to the left is McCain and Obama skiing at The Canyons Ski Resort today.... it was taken by Chris Pearson (don't know who he is, just giving credit where credit is deserved) and you can pull up the website here www.skiutah.com (And no, it's not really them, you sillies).

Did the paragraph maker on your computer die?
:-)
I don't think so, why? Does my blog look funky? It looked okay to me when I looked today... hmmmm.... strange!
I feel the same about the snow. Every year I tell myself "this is the year you move yourself to California" and yet I never get around to it.
