Birthday at The Bayou

Last night I went to The Bayou with a group of friends (most of whom will not be accompanying me to Vegas) to celebrate my birthday. I was bummed that Auri and Odum couldn't come, but I did get to spend the evening with Karen (aka Kasian), Noelle, Rose, Jessica, Angie, and James. I was really happy that Angie was able to come because I hadn't seen her in a long time. We had a great time having drinks and laughing, even though we had to wait over an hour for a table.
I met Noelle and Rose over at Noelle's house so we could have a drink before we left. We were very lucky in that Karen offered to pick us up and drive, so we didn't have to worry about transportation. We each started with a Cosmo at Noelles and the giggles started fairly soon thereafter.

Once we got to The Bayou, I started with a Mai Tai and followed that with a few Figs which were very yummy. I think next time I'll ask for them without ice. They get too watered down. Everyone else had a mixture of Cosmos, cranberry and vodkas, and beer. I thought I'd try to stay safe and stick to one type of drink. (Apparently that didn't help because I got sick this morning anyway!)

We all had some really great food and had a great time hanging out. I had a fabulous time being embarrassed in front of James... but oh well, I'll get over it since that's not going anywhere! It was really great just to chill and have a few drinks with the girls. I can't wait for our weekend in Vegas. We are officially down to five days! There will definitely be pictures and stories to come!
