I'm getting dangerously close to my 500th post and I feel like I should do something wonderful to commemorate it. Any suggestions? Help me out, yos!
By the way, it's Tuesday, in case you hadn't noticed. And just so I'm clear, I need to remind myself that I'm in Salt Lake. Not Alabama. Until next week, anyway. I really don't want to go back next week, but considering it's part of my job, I guess I don't really have a choice! Oh shwell. Anyway, it's time for some random, so strap on your strap-ons (or seatbelts, whichever you prefer) and hold on tight. If you wanna play, go talk to Keely!
So it's the first RTT of 2010. What is this decade being referred to as? The teens? The 20-teens? The 20-tens? Anyone? Anyone? I decided to ring in the new decade with a house party that was a major success! Next year, you're all invited!
I bought a new purse with my Christmas money from my aunt/uncle and grandma/grandpa. I had to put some additional moola with it, but I'm glad I found it. I've never searched for a purse for so long in my life. It took me 5, count them 1... 2... 3... 4... 5 stores until I found something acceptable. And I will have y'all know that I passed up the pink one ... and got the stone colored one instead. Yes, I would like a star on my forehead.
I need some chocolate. Like bad. Like now. I need to go get some at the store. Anyone want to make a run for me?
I really need to take down the Christmas decorations and I really don't want to. It seems like a lot of work and I don't know where I'm going to put everything. I think I need to invest in another couple of clear plastic boxes for all the decorations and call it good. I think I can stuff the tree into the storage closet. If not, it's going in the garage.
Why is it so damn hard to get things done when you're a homeowner? I haven't received a bill from DirecTV again for this last month. I called them yesterday and the only thing the dude could tell me was it must be something with the post office because since they have my correct address, there's no reason I shouldn't be getting a bill. Way to go above and beyond to help me out, dick.
I finished reading Lover Avenged last night. I was up late reading it the night before and put it down with about 15 pages left. I picked it up to finish last night and realized there were only three pages to go. Duh. I started "Eat Pray Love" and it's pretty good so far. I'm hoping to finish that this week so I can start on the Brotherhood again for the 2nd time around. I also started crocheting another scarf last night. I forget how much I love to crochet and need to make a point of doing it more often.
My dad is hell-bent on putting some shelving up in our garage for all our "shit." I told him we don't have that much stuff that it's going to require shelving anytime soon. I guess I'll just let him do it and get him off my back. I wanted to paint the garage first but I think that'll have to wait until Spring. It's too damn cold out there.
My power went out while I was in bed this morning. It's not cool when the power goes out in the winter. It's cold outside. Doesn't the power company understand this?
My contractor/builder still hasn't finished everything that was marked during the walk-through... before we closed on the house... in OCTOBER!!! I need to take another list over to him today or tomorrow. I'm totally irritated with him right now! Jackass!
Alrighty, kids, that's it for RTT. I've got posts coming up from the Christmas Tea I had a few weeks back, the next Vegas post and #500. Please send suggestions for what you want to see on that one!

I LOVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVE that purse. I'll probably buy a purse at Coach outlet when I go to Vegas.
Maybe another giveaway for your 500th post? Or a contest?
I read Eat, Pray, Love a while back. I really liked the eating and loving parts but the praying was too much for me. My mind kept wandering. :)
Very cute purse!
SB - Thanks! I can't believe how long it took me to find it. It's really comfortable on my shoulder and is big inside. The only thing I wish it had was an inside divider. Oh well!
Cortnee - Thanks! I'm excited to get through the book, I've heard it's awesome!
I love you for your love for Edward ;-)
Cute blog!
xo.
i could probably live in half of that purse. what's the rent like?
You know you miss us Alabamians!
Let me know what you think of Eat, Play, Love
I love your purse! And I also love Eat, Pray, Love :D I can't wait to see how the movie turns out, part of it was shot here in Indonesia :)
A star on your forehead? Like a bindi?
OMG,I LOVE bags, and the Guess purse is amazing!
Strap on your strap ons! hahahahhaha you crack me up!
Loved Eat, Love, Pray... very inspiring for me, I hope it is for you too!
You got a lot accomplished last night. Pre Ambien, plastic containers. Post Ambien, Christmas decor came down and I got a good laugh. Hopefully you figured out what was up with the waterfall noises in your refrigerator.
Love the new purse. Mine should be here today and I can't wait! There's nothing like a new purse to brighten a new year.
