Sorry I've been MIA the last few days. I've not had the best weekend. I started with a stomach ache last Wednesday night and it hasn't let up since. I drove myself to Urgent Care as soon as I got off the plane on Friday night, and the doc thought I had an appendicitis.Naturally it couldn't have been something easy... so he sent me to the ER to have a CT scan for diagnosis. After 2 attempts at an IV which included 3 attempts for blood, my arms look like I'm a crack whore... which I am not.... and they still don't know what's wrong with me.
The CT scan didn't show anything and neither did the blood work... so now I have to have more tests done and live with the pain. At least they didn't keep me in the hospital, though!
I'm back in Alabama right now and will be until Wednesday afternoon. Then I get to go home and "prepare" for a colonoscopy. Try not to be jealous. I know it's EXACTLY what y'all want to do this week!
The only good thing is that I get to come home early and have 4 whole days away from work!
Seriously, try not to be jealous. I know it will be difficult for you!

Holy crap! That is seriously some shody nursing work right there! Do not let that nurse touch you again, ask for someone more qualified. You should never have that much bruising from an IV or blood draw. Whatever you do DO NOT LET THAT SAME NURSE NEAR YOUR HINY.
I hope it's not serious, it sucks to travel feeling yucky.

I think it's your vampire baby. It's taking all of your nutrients and causing you bruising so it can feed off of the blood. Seriously, you should consider that. Since everything looked good with your colonscopy a vampire baby is the only explanation.
They always have to poke me multiple times to get IV's in too, but.....OH MY GOSH! I have never come away with bruises that bad. Sorry Erica, I hope you get feeling better.
