I'm alive and well, for the most part. I haven't been around internetland much lately, in case you haven't noticed... but it's not for lack of wanting... I just haven't had the energy and have felt like crap... so forgive me.
Anyway, I had my colonoscopy this morning. Remind me NEVER to do that again. The procedure itself was fine, it's the preparatory stuff that's miserable. I had to have another IV and it went perfectly this time. I hardly even have a bruise. They knocked me out with propofol and I woke up what seemed like 5 minutes later. (BTW, that's the same drug that killed MJ.) The nice thing about it is it allows you to wake up and feel like a normal person... not a zombie. I was completely coherent about 5 minutes after it was all over!
So yeah, everything looks good. No polyps, no cancer, no nothin'... which is good, but still doesn't give me much of an answer as to what was causing the pain. The doc thinks it's IBS, so I'll try to be proactive and see what happens (I'll spare you the details as to what that means).
Hope all is well with you guys and I'll be around to your blogs soon!
P.S. We close on the house on the 13th!!! Woo hoo!
P.P.S. My thoughts and prayers go out to the people in the Samoan islands and Indonesia!!!

I had some bowel problems but found that it was an excess of habenaro peppers!
I was thinking polyps or IBS.....but what do I know? ;)
Propofol is fantastic stuff. We used it when I worked in the ER. Some people get knocked out, others just say weird stuff! I don't think they use it for colonoscopy's here.
You better be posting pics of your house.
You're aliveeeee! Glad to hear everything went well. I miss your posts!
Sorry you haven't felt well and crappy, I'm happy the results are good though and showing nothing scary. Hope the docs really find what's up.
Ps. Thanks for the shout out to Indonesia :)

Colonoscopy sounds scary. Glad you're back in blogland!
Glad your not dead and dying and stuff. Hope you feel better. WTHW (word to the wise) prunes, dried or juiced. That'll get them guts moving. Or that Acai berry stuff that is some wicked cleaner outter.
Hey Erica-welcome to the 30 something club. Things will happen to your body and you will say, "What the hell?" Embrace it because it beats the alternative. Glad your ok. Miss ya sweetie!
welcome the the black hole known as ibs
Hey you Good-Lookin' Brunette!
I used to say "Never" about that, too. They got to a 'curve' in my intestine and it 'woke me up' (too much pain)....but, It is a good thing to have done periodically. If you can detect Colon Cancer early enough, you have a greater chance for removing it.
Peace and Love
Glad you're back...and healthy too!
Glad you are okay and I hope they have some answers for you soon. Thinking positive thoughts for ya!
