9 Months? I Can't Wait That Long!

I realize this is a few days overdue, but deal with it. And just so you know, there are no major spoilers... just a few hints! The finale was on on Sunday night and I was so excited for it! Overall, I think it was done really well. I was definitely shocked by a few of the things that happened but liked how they wrapped it all up. I was not at all surprised by the very last scene, and I'm 97% sure I know what happens as a precursor for next season... unless they deviate from the book like they have been.

There were a few things during the season that I could have done without. The first being the drawn-out Maryann story. I guess the finale ended in a farily logical way, but I could have done with less of her. The show got all crazy like for a few episodes there, and I was really surprised by all the twists and turns it took from the book. I loved that I didn't know what to expect each week because of it. Eric, oh Eric... After reading Book 4, I fell for him. I was previously on Team Bill (get the Twilight reference?), and was a bit torn for gravitating towards Eric, but everything worked out by the time I got to Book 6 or so. If you've read them, you know what I'm talking about. Anyway, after seeing Eric this season, I'm whole-heartedly on his team. Good Lord than man is HOT!!! I'd definitely invite him in for a romp if he showed up at my front door!
I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the Queen being brought into the show, but I think they did a great job of casting her. I don't necessarily like Evan Rachel Wood, but I think she's perfect for the part... except for the fact that she's a little older than Queen Sophie in the book. She played it well and to the extreme the character was meant to be portrayed. I can't wait to see more of her story.
I'm sure I've said this before, but I'm saying it again. Season 2 of True Blood was awesome! Are you guys with me? If not, get on the damn band wagon already! Seriously, though...9 months! That's 9 GD Effing months I have to wait for Season 3 of True Blood. Mr. Ball, I have obsession issues, and your little show just happens to be one of them. I can't wait until next June! I just can't! Anyway, I saw this picture on Twitter yesterday (courtesy of Ben) and loved it. I thought it was appropriate for this post and I hope you love it (and the show) as much as I do.
Until next season...

Erica, thanks for the review... can I add mine here? I hated the season Finale! I was sorely disappointed. I was so sick of the whole Maryanne issue that I just wanted it to end so we could see more ERIC! I like the queen, but they did a horrible job of casting Hadley. I agree about the end being a precursor to the next book. And frankly, I can't wait to meet Alcide. I loved Alcide, then I loved Eric (and I still do) but I also loved Quinn! (can't wait to meet him!) See a pattern here as I am a Team Jacob? I would have loved to see a little more cliffhangers for all the characters in the finale! But 9 months is a long time. I will tell you that I started watching Vampire Diaries, and I love it! Can't wait to see more and I plan on reading the books as well. Thanks for listening to my novel!

Every time I see Eric I can't help but think "orange, mocha Frapuccino." Sorry to burst your Eric bubble there. Can't wait to watch the finale. I'm with Auri, thanks for getting me hooked on another vampire series. Damn you! (shaking fist)

Tracie - You are so funny. You're always on the team of the underdog! And you hated Twilight, too. That cracks me up because I'm addicted to it!

Aurs - You're welcome. I do what I can.

Andhari - It's torture, huh?

Jess - No bubble burst, here. Like I said, at least I didn't get you addicted to crack.

Ali - Cuz the season is over and they have to film the next one... and build up some major anticipation... not cool!

Cass - Definitely watch Season 1 now. Then watch Season 2 as soon as it comes out. Then read the books. Or read the books first. A lot more will make sense if you do.

Jaime - At least you got to see it! It really pissed you off? Because it's a cliff hanger, or because of how it ended?

BOTH. i hate cliffhangers - but i love sookie and bill together - so i was pissed that she ran out to say yes and no bill.
