Sarcastically Bitter? Yes, Please!

I am a horrible person. Candace came to Salt Lake TWO WEEKS AGO, and I'm just getting around to blogging about it. She now has the authority to beat me severely next time she sees me! I know she's not entirely happy that I'm sharing all these pics with you, but she's so cute, I can't possibly keep her from y'all!

Ms. Bitter arrived Thursday evening and Noelle & I picked her up at the airport. Fortunately she arrived, sadly, her bag didn't. Good thing the airline delivered it to her hotel. She got checked into her hotel and we took a look around. I think I'll be taking a staycation there sometime soon. The hotel was great! We had dinner at the California Pizza Kitchen that night and then headed home (and to the hotel).
I had to go pick out my preferences for my new house at the Design Center on Friday afternoon (and work for a while) so I picked up Candace late that afternoon. We went to a new place called the Beerhive Pub (which is funny if you're from Utah because Utah is the "Beehive State") and had a drink, and then met a bunch of friends for dinner at Biaggi's. In the pic above is Lisa, Jolie, Anna and Candace.
Almost forgot... we picked up Noelle in between drinks and dinner and stopped at the Liquor Store to stock up on wine. There's this cool "Super Chiller" thingy at the liquor store where you can chill your bottles in 6 minutes flat, so we took a few bottles with us to dinner. By the way, that's Brittany with the short blonde hair... she just chopped 12 inches off... isn't it adorable?! No one was ready to head home so after dinner we decided to go to the Sandbar and have a few drinks.
The bar had a totally different vibe than the night we went for the pub crawl. We had fun in any case! That's Noelle and Lisa with their Patron. I found out that Candace likes Crown... the girl is tough, what can I say!? I ordered a Washington Apple, and by the time I'd almost finished it, I realized there was something REALLY nasty at the bottom of the glass. I got another drink for free, though! On Saturday, Noelle and I took Candace up to Park City to shop and show her around. We drove up to Main Street where Sundance is held every year and took a little tour. From there we did some shopping at TJ Maxx, had lunch at Loco Lizard, and headed for the outlets. There's a Coach outlet up there along with a few other places we hit. It was a very productive day!
After shopping we headed back down the canyon and went to Auri's house. We grabbed her and took off for the Bayou. It was the most logical decision seeing how they have good food, good drinks and it's our go-to place on the weekends. We (Noelle, Auri and I) wanted Candace to experience it so that's where we went. Afterwards we headed for the sex shop to buy a bachelorette party gift for Jen's brunch the next morning. On Sunday, we had brunch at Trio for Jen's shower/bachelorette party. Champagne and brunch is always a good way to start off the day. Afterwards, we went shopping with Jen to help her find a dress for her wedding and then went to Noelle's house for dinner. I took Candace to see my house (where I currently live),my new house (under construction) after that, and then dropped her off at her hotel b/c I had to work Monday morning.
On Monday, I took a long lunch/left early and Auri & I took Candace to lunch at Ruth's Diner up Emigration Canyon. For some reason, I thought it was up Millcreek Canyon and Auri thought it was pretty funny that she knew where we were going for once, and I didn't. Lunch was good...we sat outside on the patio and hung out for a bit and then took off for the airport. Candace's plane got delayed and she had a bit of a headache getting home, but she made it in one piece. Hopefully, next time will be a little bit easier traveling. I had so much fun over the weekend and I thank everyone who played with me! I think now it's my turn to go to Canada!
