Layovers Suck My Ass

Can I just tell you how much I hate waiting?! Whether it be waiting for someone, waiting for something, or whatever, I hate waiting. I left Alabama on Friday around 1:30 PM. I got to the airport a little before Noon. The flight wasn't that great, and then I had a 3 hour layover in Dallas. Well that might possibly have been tolerable if the torrential downpour didn't start right before we started boarding our flight. Everyone got on the plane and then we proceeded to sit at the gate for nearly 2 hours before the flight was cleared to take off. We left at 8:30 ... 2 hours after our scheduled departure time. NOT OK!!! Needless to say, I was a bit pissy and delerious when I got home.

I left again this morning for Alabama. First leg is a 2.5 hour flight to Dallas, followed by a 4 HOUR LAYOVER, followed then by a 1.5 hour flight to Montgomery. Seriously, people?! I finally decided to pay to log onto the internet and I'm going to ask work to pay for it. It's hard to try and work with no internet access.
And why is it that airports are so damn uncomfortable and non-conducive to working? I can barely keep my laptop on my lap because I'm sitting in a chair where my feet can barely reach the ground. I'm short. It's not easy to work when you have to hold your computer on your lap and keep it from sliding off. And why the hell is it that there are so few electrical plugs around here? The terminal I flew into last week was awesome. Very friendly for the business traveler. This one... not so much.

Well, enough bitching for one post. You can be expecting more posts from me this week. I'll have a good RTT for you tomorrow.

P.S. When the hell did the Patriots get new uniforms?

Did you fly United? ;) haha
Why do they have to have such long layovers? Especially for flights which are domestic? I'm sorry you have to go through this crap. At least you have internet to keep you busy.

Depends on how much cheaper the ticket is as to how annoying the layover is!

I HATE wating too, especially on planes or at the airport. Sucks!

I asked the same question to my husband and he said the uniform is only for tonight's game.

Wow the least airports could do with the very long layovers are providing nice places for business travelers. Sorry :( I hate waiting at airports too. Especially if I can't distract myself with internet.

I'm with you there. I HATE waiting for anything, and I HATE layovers at airports.

I don't like flying so the longer I'm made to sit there and brood before the flight, the more nervous I get!
