I Need A Private Island

I left for the airport at Noon today. I got to my gate and found out the flight was delayed 35 minutes ... it ended up being closer to an hour. I hung around, read, ate lunch, etc. and then finally boarded the plane where I sat for another 35 or 40 minutes while we waited for maintenance to come fix a wheel on the service cart. Um, yeah, why in God's name didn't they have the maintenance guys standing by for when the plane was ready, as opposed to calling them after the fact?

Got to Dallas with 30 mintues to spare before my next flight. I hurried to the gate to find the flight had been delayed because we were waiting for the flight attendants. Once they got there, we started boarding. Keep in mind that a lightning storm started about 15 mintues before then. We all got on the plane, and guess what? The lightning got to be too severe and they made us deplane. About 15 minutes later the flight got cancelled because of the weather in Montgomery. I was booked on the next available flight, which is 7:20 PM TOMORROW NIGHT!!!

I went to the baggage area and requested that they get my bag for me. Since the lightning storm was still raging, I had to wait about an hour for them to get it. Once I had my bag in hand, I called the hotel and asked them to send a shuttle. I waited in line with a group of other people and when the douchebag shuttle driver got there, he didn't even help with luggage. Fucker!

At the hotel, I was the last person in line (behind about 7 others) waiting to check in. I finally got my room key around 11:45 PM. Seriously?! I got to my room, which is really nice, dropped off my stuff, and went in search of a drink. A coke, a bottle of water, something. All of the machines have eaten my money and I'm effing thirsty.

Needless to say, I'm pissy, tired and sick of traveling. Pray for me that tomorrow is a better day!
