Random Tuesdayness - The Fra Sa Edition

randomtuesday
Happy Tuesday everyone. It feels like it should be Thursday... mostly only because I want it to be. So yeah, it's Random Tuesday Thoughts in case you hadn't figured that out yet. And I'm warning you, I'm in a bad mood. If you want to play, go grab Keely's button at The Un Mom and get ready for me to verbally abuse you. Just kidding... I won't abuse you unless you piss me off!
I'm now addicted to Iced Tea. But it has to be from McDonald's and come with a lemon. And it has to come in their new styrofoam cups, not the stupid plastic ones. The styrofoam keeps it cold forever and the ice doesn't melt. I know it's bad for the environment, but I use them repeatedly, so I offset the baddness by reusing. Yeah.

Taryn calls the Lava Lamp the Lala Lamp. I got her to say La and then Va, but she can't put them together. So the Lava Lamp is now the Lala Lamp and will forever remain as such.

I'm pissy. I mean really pissy. So pissy in fact, I went home last night and started CLEANING. Yeah, I know. I'm talking deep-cleaning. I cleaned from 6:30 to 10, and I only stopped because I couldn't stand up anymore. This was the kind of cleaning where you dust all the cobwebs out of the corners in the ceiling and move the couches to vacuum underneath them and dust everything with a damp cloth and clean the glass items with Windex and vacuum the baseboards and shit type of deep-cleaning. The sad part is, I'm still not done. Granted, I haven't done that kind of cleaning in a while, but seriously. This week's episodes of True Blood and Entourage were great. I actually had to watch True Blood again last night because I took an Ambien Sunday night before I watched it and didn't remember much! Don't judge me!

I am just about at my last straw concerning the house hunting. I'm going to give up on the whole thing and go rent an apartment. My brother decided he's moving out of the house and in with one of his buddies (Bryson) in a few weeks and as a result, my dad is having a breakdown. And guess who gets to deal with it? One day I hear one thing from my parents. The next day they tell me something completely different. I. CANNOT. TAKE. THIS. ANYMORE!Recent comment on one of my posts: please tell me that you ran into a mountain hobo with a propensity to bite necks. or lie to me, at the very least.

Yes, Kara, I ran into a Mountain Hobo that tried to bite my neck repeatedly. Actually, he went for the femoral artery in the groin, but I didn't know if that was TMI... I really quite enjoyed it!

I really hate that I have 900 things to add to my RTT posts and can never remember anything. Damnit! I even started carrying around a notebook so I can write stuff down, but that doesn't really help me if I leave the damn thing at home. And it's even better when I think it's at home and find it lost in the vastness of my ginormous purse. Conversation that may or may not have occurred on the way to Torrey:
Noelle: There's the movie theater, see what's playing.
Me: Year One, Ice Age, and The Fra Sa. What's The Fra Sa?
Noelle: Um, Thursday, Friday, Saturday?!
Me: Yeah... I'm special! (In my defense I thought it was the abbreviation for a new movie I hadn't heard of)

Recipe for Home-made Marinara Sauce - For Elisha (I hope Auri doesn't kill me!):
Saute 3 cloves of garlic (sliced) in about 1/2 cup of olive oil until golden brown and then remove from oil
Add 1 chopped onion (yellow) to oil and cook until tender
Add 3 cans (16 oz each) of fire roasted tomatoes
Also add 1/2 to 1 cup chopped basil and let simmer
After about 10-15 minutes, add 1/2 to 1 cup red wine
Salt and pepper to taste
Let cook for another 30 minutes to 1 hour
When it's done, add desired amount of sauce to a bowl of drained pasta and mix
Serve with grated parmesan cheese! For guaranteed results, serve with a side of RPattz!

I love McD's iced tea. In fact, I think I'll get one today. How about some hottie girl pics?

That picture of Jacob...oy vey...wow.

Yes, I know he's 16. But that doesn't make him any less beautiful now does it?

Captain - I'll only post hottie girl pics if you MEN comment on them!

I thought you had a condo lined up??

I LOVE Iced tea. I was in Vegas last year and went to Starbucks to order my regular shaken black tea lemonade, and I didn't know you had to ask for it sweetened. Iced Tea is always sweet here. So I learned that for the next time, it has to be sweetened. And when I was in London, I just about died. No Iced Tea at all.

Aurs - Good to know... how about you go get some tea and bring it to me!

Otin - Ok, fine, I'll give you some next time... pics, that is!

Jaime - I know, hottness all around!

Noelle - Iced teas this weekend!

SB - I did and now my parents are being lame. I think I would die without iced tea... especially in the summer!

THANK YOU so much for the marinara recipe! I love to cook and I'm a fanatic about cataloging my recipes and taking photos of my creations when I am done. Last night was sesame chicken with brown rice and hot and sour soup. YUM!!! Tonight is a request from the hubby - home made fettuccine alfredo :) I can't wait to try the marinara soon. Thanks to Auri for allowing the share :)
