Random Tuesdayness - Holy Shit, I'm Closing Today!

I should be packing right now seeing how I hardly have anything done, but instead, I'm delivering for you, my loyal readers. I feel like I'm incessantly apologizing these days, but I feel like the biggest slacker for not getting around to everyone's blogs as much as I used to. I guess that's what it means to be busy at work... I kinda forgot what it was like!

I've been hot since yesterday (Sunday) and I'm getting really annoyed by it. I can't seem to cool off, and the sad thing is, I'm not even in Alabama! I was granted the privilege of working from home this week so I can close on my house tomorrow (Tuesday) and start moving!

I'm reading a new vampire series by J.R. Ward (The Black Dagger Brotherhood). I told Jaime that it's not the usual kind of story I like to read (but then, vampire stories didn't used to be my thing either), but it's really hot, so it works. I finished the first book in about 2.5 days and I'm already a quarter of the way into number two. I'll let you know how it is.

I'm loving the cooler weather we're having right now. Not necessarily looking forward to the snow, but I love wearing Fall & Winter clothes. Apparently the temps are going back up next week. Damn.

And that's my bathroom!

So yeah, I close on the house tomorrow. I'm so excited. Not nervous at all. I just want to get it over and done with and have those keys in my hands! I don't think I get the keys until Wednesday and I can't wait to start moving. It's going to take some time, plus I have to work this week, so I'm going to be exhausted by the time it's all done.

I did some packing last night and sliced the top of my hand open on a cardboard box... yeah, that felt good.

This is sooo not random tonight. My mom is asleep on the couch and snoring really loudly. She'd kill me if she knew I was sharing that. My dad is on the other couch, watching the news and eating his seeds. He doesn't smoke cigarettes anymore... his addiction trasnferred to seeds. Cheaper and healthier, it's a good thing.

Auri's uncle is on the news right now. Weird. He's on talking about his Natural Gas Vehicle and the fact that it wouldn't pass inspection... I guess a bunch of people filed a lawsuit and they won!

I need him.
