Random Tuesdayness - The One Where I Turn 30

I'm actually a little pissed off that I'm alone on my birthday. My parents had to go to a funeral in Vegas so I'm left here to fend for myself. Nevermind that I live with my little bro. He's more interested in his own problems... like who won the game between the Patriots and the Saints, or how many dudes he has to kill in his new video game to advance to the next level. Don't mind your big Sis over here, having a midlife crisis...

Someone should go ask Keely whatever happened to NogBlogging. She needs to get on it. And guess what? It's Tuesday. Yeah? So? That means it's time for some randomness, Salti-style. And since today is my birthday, I'm the boss, and what I say goes.

My actual birthdays usually tend to suck, so I guess I can't complain too much. I should have expected it. That's why I've planned to go to Vegas to celebrate for the last couple of years... and why I'm leaving for Vegas on Thursday! The trip really snuck up on me this year. I usually have a countdown going, but all of a sudden, it was, "Oh crap, we're leaving next week!" I think it's better that way. So I'm still sick with a stupid cold. I guess I shouldn't complain because at least I don't have the Swine. Things could definitely be worse. Or I could have the runs (or the Fuck Tonys, as Noelle and I call them... that's a story for another time) like my brother has. He had to stay home from work today. Sucks to be him. Or blows. Whichever you prefer.

I have recently acquired (with money, not illegally) a few new cds and I'm loving all my new music. I haven't really had a chance to listen to all of it thoroughly yet, but I will, and I'll give you my reviews.

Did I tell you that Noelle and I got up at the ass-crack of dawn to go shopping on Black Friday? Well, we did. And it was crazy. But I got a couple of Christmas presents and some stuff for the house, so it's all good. Right? Right. I got a $9 Dirt Devil hand vacuum that rocks. It gets into the corners and all the small spots that the other one doesn't reach. Isn't it sad that I'm excited by household appliances these days?

Thank you to Nic, over at PinkNic's Planet for my birthday gift! Yes, I received it... it only took me 4 days to check the mail! I'll take pics of the gift and share them with you guys! Thanks Nic, you are awesome!

Since the parentals are in Vegas, Fergie is sleeping over at my house. And she decided to get sick yesterday morning and puke all over the place. Only one spot on the carpet, the rest was on linoleum, so I guess I shouldn't bitch. Yeah right.

I had a little get-together at my house on Friday night after shopping. I made chicken tacos and lemon-drops. Good combo, no? Jessica was the one who requested the lemon drops, and after just one, she nearly passed out on the couch. It was really quite entertaining, although, she had me worried for a minute there... what with her face going bright red and all. She kept saying she felt like she had just run a marathon. We also made princess crowns to wear in Vegas. Be jealous.
On Saturday night I put together the bookshelves that I bought at IKEA on Wednesday night. I accompanied Noelle and Kelly on their date, and in exchange, they came to IKEA with me and helped me lift stuff. It was great.

Tonight, Noelle is on another date. With a different dude. And I love it. I hope they make out and stuff.

The dog likes to bark to let you know that her water is dirty. Not that her bowl is empty, but that she wants fresh water. How did she become such a primadona?

I just paid my brother $10 to help me carry my bookshelves upstairs. How the hell do I let myself get suckered into these situations?! Plus, I gave him $20, and I'm sure I won't be seeing the other $10 any time soon.
