Had I known it would take my builder over a month to come back after I closed on my house, I wouldn't have closed until all the repairs/to-do list items had been completed. It's not like I've been really demanding about it, either.
I paid extra to have ceiling fans installed in the family room and my bedroom. Two weeks ago the family room fan got installed... they still haven't been back to install the one in my room. The heat upstairs has taken some getting used to (seeing how I've lived in a basement for the last 15 years) and a fan would really help me out!
There are nicks in my cabinets, marks on the walls, scratches in the backyard sliding door frame and a multitude of other things that need to be fixed. My realtor called me today to make sure everything had been taken care of and I had to tell her no, it hasn't. Is it me, or would y'all be totally annoyed as well?
I love my new house... especially after I've gotten to spend more than 48 hours at a time in it. Yeah it's a little blah right now, but that's nothing a can of paint and a few framed pictures can't fix.

oh my god I'd be so annoyed I'd be calling those assholes like three times a day until they fixed everything.
Jenni - The problem is I'm so anti-confrontational, I have a hard time calling and yelling. My realtor is on it though, so I don't have to be!

I'd be pissed too if I were you. I can't stand heat at all. Anyhoo, why don't you install air conditioner too? I think it's essential but maybe to me only because Jakarta can be really, REALLY hot.

who needs framed pictures...all you need is some fantastic frames and then you don't even NEED pictures.
omg! your builder never mentioned it to you? that is horrible. Things in my office is a horrible. We have so many people and the a.c. is broken and we don't have a freakin fan! The heat makes everyone cranky. Are you planning on getting someone else to install other things? Or will you be waiting for your builder?
Typical!! It's like this over here too... things never get done unless you chase, chase and chase some more :(

Is my husband your builder? Because my kitchen is in shambles and there hasn't been a lick of work going on over here either. I know how you feel. Good luck kickin your builders ass in gear.
