Well, I am, and it terrifies me. I'm not sure if any of you are aware, but Hurricane Ida is heading toward the Gulf States as we speak. I'm currently sitting in a Gulf State as we speak. One of my biggest fears is either being caught in a Tornado or a Hurricane, and the more time I spend in this part of the country, the better my chances are getting. Anyway, I had the worst flight coming into Montgomery this afternoon. It literally scared the shit out of me. I actually started saying little prayers because I thought, for sure, we were going down. I'm alive, thank God, but a bit frazzled after that. If the damn hurricane doesn't dissipate before Friday, I'm sure as hell not getting back on a plane... I'll rent a car and drive home!

Aww, big hug from up north. When I saw your title it made me think of telling my oldest all the time that he doesn't have to be afraid of the wind because it won't hurt him. Of course, we don't have hurricanes or tornados here.
Oh no! Sending my prayers out to you and everyone there sweetie.
I'm so lucky to live in the UK for this reason - no extreme weather.
I can only imagine how scary a tornado or hurricane would be.
Hope you stay safe and warm and get home ok this weekend xx
I was once on a plane that when we landed the entire populace on the plane clapped like in good job for landing this plane and not tipping over it was sooooo scary. I know how you feel. Praying that Ida decides to peeter out before hitting land.
you would DRIVE home from alabama? how many days would that take???
Captain - That's why I'm happy I live in Utah... not much wind. Thanks for the hugs!
Mel - Thanks! It ended up being not that bad!
Saskia - Thanks, girl. Today was just stormy, nothing too bad!
Toe - Yeah, I seriously thought that was it. I hate flights like that!
Jaime - I'd consider it. It'd only take 2-3 days... or so.
