I guess I need to clarify... I have done the online dating thing before... I'm looking for advice on how to communicate effectively b/c I feel like that's the one thing I lack... so yeah, help me out!
Ok kids, here's the deal. After hearing about a friend, who shall remain nameless, who has had some luck on a particular dating site, and then another friend who recently signed up, I'm giving it a try. Again.
What do you guys think about dating sites? Those of you who are single, of course, or have used them in the past.
I've tried quite a few of them and, obviously, haven't had much luck. Any great suggestions, advice, warnings I should know? Fill me in. I can use all the help I can get.
And tomorrow/today I'll be back with some good posting, I promise!

I did some personal ad stuff in the 90's and found that a lot of people play games by lying about themselves. The dating sites may make that harder to do, but I would say to always be a little bit on guard!

Always be on guard, but I know soooo many people who have met there partners online. That was before my time, but I think you should give it a try! I am excited to see what happens...
I wish I could offer some good advice, but I don't know anything about them. I have had friends in the past who have been very successful with them, but honestly that's all I know. Sorry. Good luck darlin!
oh man...do i have stories. i'm a big online dating failure. it didn't work for me at all. that being said, it's worked for EVERYONE ELSE I KNOW who's tried it. so, you know, the odds are in your favor.
Dear friend, you're only in Utah two days a week. How do you suppose dating will work? Something to think about. I've had about the same luck as you with the online dating and have no desire to do it again. I think we should start a trend of meeting somebody not online. You know, the old fashioned way? Thoughts?
Talk about how to meet men! since I obviously suck at that. I need tips!
