Eclit... Oops! I Mean, Eclipse!

I know how obnoxious this is, but my friends and I have porn names for the Twilight movies. Eclit happens to be the pseudonym for Eclipse... do you like? First I give you my night's rundown, second I give you a mini-review. Don't worry, I won't give away any details!Like I said before, unless you live in a hole or couldn't give a shit less, you know that Eclipse premiered this week. On Tuesday night/Wedenesday morning at Midnight, to be exact. Just like I promised, I was there... and I loved every minute of it! The night started off with dinner and a showing of New Moon at my house. Brittany, Jessica, Noelle, and Maddie all came over and hung out. I made dinner (aka, threw some pasta in boiling water and heated up some bottled vodka sauce from Sunflower Market), Jess brought a salad and we called it good. I think the vodka sauce from World Market was better, but when it's bottled, you can't complain. We left my casa around 9:30 and headed west to pick up Lisa in BFE. Once we finally found her we drove over to Jordan Landing to meet Auri and the other ladies...which was where I was originally told the movie was at. Auri and the girls from work had dinner over at Joe's Crab Shack (another reason we decided to eat at home) and they had just gotten their food by the time we got there. We went to Chili's next door for coffee and dessert while we waited for them to finish dinner. Fishy smelling coffee and dessert didn't sound too appetizing...Keep in mind... this wasn't us. Just click on it cuz you'll laugh your asses off!

Once we left Chili's, we called Auri and she said they were coming out of Joe's... and couldn't see us...and we couldn't see her. She was out front and so were we... just at different locales. Yeah... I wouldn't call it a miscommunication, but a lack of communication. Miss Callie forgot to include me in on the info... so we were all discombobulated. It all worked out in the end though!

PS - Brittany didn't join us cuz she has plans to see it with her BBBF in a few weeks, and Lisa ended up getting sick before the movie and went home...
I have to say, I really wasn't anticipating or excited about this movie the way I was with New Moon. I'm pretty sure it's because I was pretty unmoved by the 2nd one and I didn't want to get my hopes up for Eclipse. I was verrrry happily surprised by the movie this time. The few expectations I had were met!
Fabu Part #1 ~ The makeup, hair/wigs and contacts were soooo much better in this movie! Rosalie's wig and Jasper's hair alone made all the difference. I had originally thought New Moon and Eclipse were both directed by Chris Weitz, but I was wrong. David Slade actually directed Eclipse and I couldn't have been happier. The differences are mightily apparent!
I have to say, I don't really like that Bryce Dallas Howard was cast. She just didn't seem to fit the part... but that may be because I was partial to the original Victoria. I think if she looked like she does in this picture, it would've been easier to take... her wig and makeup looked ridiculous. The actress did a great job, I just didn't appreicate how they made her up.
Fabu point #2: Lots of lip action. When we were walking into the theater, we walked past a couple coming out that complained "there was too much making out," in it (remember, we're in Utah). Um, last time I checked, that was all in the book and totally welcomed by me! Bring on the smoochin'!
I loved that everyone was in this film more involved. It wasn't just a couple of the characters running around the whole time. They all actually had more than one line!

Anyhoodle, the ambien has finally hit me and I can't think straight anymore. I've seen the movie twice and loved it, obvi. Now I wanna hear your reviews!

I can't wait to see it!! I wish I remembered the book. I don't know if I will like the new Victoria, because I liked the other Victoria (not only because she's Canadian! ;)). I just find when movies change actors for a particular character, sometimes it doesn't always work out (except Harry Potter- Professor Dumbledore).

OMG I totally agree with you. The makeup DID make all the difference. Rosalie looked fabulous! And Jasper...well I'm mildly obsessed with him so I was a happy camper. :)

I also didn't like Bryce Howard and I really wish they hadn't recast Victoria. There was just something about her that was...off.

LOVED the movie. I want to go see it again! I thought David Slade did the most amazing job bringing just the right amount of creepy darkness to it and I wish he was also doing Breaking Dawn. (Although I have a feeling that he would make it REALLY scary and probably turn off fans.)

I loved Jasper in this one! I can't wait until Emmett gets a little more screen time! I missed Esme's sweet words, she only had like a line or 2. I loved the lip action too... HAWT!!! Edward looked so much better, I almost switched teams! I love Charlie... seriously I may be team Charlie!!! I like the old Victoria too! Reagen was cute too! Can't wait to see it again... TONIGHT!! Looks like you guys all had a lot of fun! I think that is part of the whole Twilight Saga phenomenon...just getting together with the girls!

I LOVED IT!

But I think Jasper gives me the creeps. The wigs they have on them drive me nuts! I don't why they tried so hard to make it so weird!!

But I loved it :) Can't wait to see it again. I think I may read the series again. I haven't decided.
