Random Tuesdayness - Salti Talk... Let's Try For Next Week

randomtuesdayRemember how I said I wanted to start a weekly discussion and call it Monday Talk, or something of the sort? And remember how I said I'd be posting it on Mondays? And remember how I didn't post yesterday? Or any of the last 5 days for that matter... And then I went and decided (actually Cassi helped me decide) to name the feature "Salti Talk"... and she even made me a button... And then I still didn't post yesterday? Yeah... I've been a total blogging asshole and haven't been around much lately.... on my blog, or yours! I'll make it up to you, I promise.

It's Tuesday and time to talk to Keely, aka The Un Mom if you want to play this fun little game. At least she's got her shit together and posts when she's spose to!

Remember how I said I'd be posting about the Joss Stone concert? Well that was what, two weeks ago? Yeah, still haven't gotten around to it in case you hadn't noticed.

I haven't talked about the disaster in The Gulf. In light of that, here are some very provacative lyrics from one of her songs I love:
"Governmentalist"
Don't you dare
Interrupt the white house ball
Were living scared
It's in foriegn fields that soldiers fall
Ooooooh la la la
Snatch 'em in their prime, go ahead that's fine, that's fine

Just go drill for grease
Like a diamond thief
Their mamas will be alright
Just give 'em time
Go get you money right
You wont lose no sleep tonight
Nominate your kids
I think they'd prove your theory right
Would you watch them die?
Like tryin' to get a hold of smoke and water
Coming up with nothing everytime
How come we aint getting any closer
Tryin' to find the truth behind the lies
Look up look up,
See a dead man walking
See his baby face
Hey let's duplicate a few
Oooooh la la la la
That don't mean much to you

If you need some help
Send some hippies in to help
You think more than you do
Hows about another line or two
To pick you up, pick you up
While your people drown
I hope you're happy and you sleep so great at night
While the lovers cry
Like tryin' to get a hold of smoke and water,
Coming up with nothing everytime
How come we aint getting any closer
Tryin' to find the truth behind the lies

Hmmmmm hmmmm hmmm hmmmm
Hmmmm hmmmm hmmmmm hmmmm...

How many lives will you sacrifice
Will you ever be satisfied
If in God you trust
Can't you hear him still
I aint no preacher but
Thou shalt not kill

Yo, check it
I'm praisin' the states and the streets I'm raised in
Pain is the perfume scent I'm sprayed in
It clash with the federal agents fragrance
I smell a pig, that's a cop who's racist
I'm an ordinary project dude
I'm subject to genetically modified food
That's FDA approved, mass produced
So you can tell a lie from the truth
Even though I'm fly up in my time for a suit
Leer jet like a Concorde, swoop through the air
Then I land in my van, I'm cool
And I still stand with the Uganda youths
All the poor kids out in Moscow that live hostile
I ride for you when I ride with the top down
Listenin' to Joss' sounds, you see how that feel
I see these come with government seals
Open it, peek Nas getting' at his enemies
And the paragraphs are for similies
Governmentalists killed the Kennedy's
I heard that Joss Stone got the remedies

Govermental, confusion
Govermentalist, delusion
Govermental confusion
A bunch of govermentalist, it's delusion

Like tryin' to get a hold of smoke and water,
Coming up with nothing everytime
How come we aint getting any closer
Tryin' to find the truth behind the lies

And all that were left with is a hand full of nothing,
Hand full of nothing
That's all that I got
Hand full of nothing

Govermental, confusion
Govermentalist, delusion
Govermental confusion
Govermentalist, delusion

I had a housewarming party on Sunday... and it was a major pain in the ass to get ready for... however, it was a great success, so the work was worth it. I'm still recovering.
Unless you've been living in a hole/couldn't give a shit less, you'll know that Eclipse (third installment of the Twilight Saga) premieres tonight at midnight... and guess who's going? Like I'm not that transparent... I don't even try to pretend anymore. I seriously hope I can stay awake that long. I've been craving a nap all day.

I went over to Auri's last night and ended up staying to watch the last four episodes (of my box set) of Six Feet Under with her. I have forgotten so much about the show I really need to watch it all again. I didn't get home til 2 AM. We bawled for the better part of all four episodes. I went to bed with my contacts in. All that combined makes me for a very tired girl with very tired eyes today.

I just remembered I was going to stop by a post office box and forgot. Damnit!

Alright... I'll be back with a recap of the Joss concert, tales from our adventures this evening and other various shit for your pleasure this week.

By the way, Hello and Welcome to all of my new readers! Thanks for stopping by... and not running away!

I'm liking the "Salti Talk." And although I'm not gonna make it to the Eclipse premier tonight, rest assured that my mom and her coworkers have been waiting in line since they got off work today.

I've went to bed with my contacts before too. It was awful when I woke up.

Apparently I could have went to all Twilight movies last night, including Eclipse for $20! GRRR! I wish I would have known that before the fact. I plan to go when it isn't so crazy. I don't like crowds.
