I think the first edition of Monday Talk went pretty well last week, so let's try another installment this week.
I haven't been blogging much the last week or two because I've been working on a lot of home improvement stuff. In the meantime, the weather warmed up and when I flipped the air conditioner on for the season, it wasn't working properly.
That started a whole 5 day (and still ongoing) process of trying to get not only the air conditioner serviced, but the rest of the repairs finished in the house. You may remember me bitching about them not being completed after the final walk-through... the contractor promised the repairs would be done within two weeks. We're now eight months out and still not entirely finished!
So, my question to you is this: What is your one worst home improvement or contractor issue you've dealt with? It can be anything from having your air conditioner serviced to the house falling down!

i don't have any contractor stories. i fix everything by myself. and by "myself" i mean i call my dad, make him drive two hours and finally reward his efforts with beer.
i have been fortunate so far with my contractors. but the worst issues with our house...
one day the washing machine (which is on the second floor of the house) shook the line loose during the spin cycle. water literally started POURING from my ceiling. andrew was about a week old at the time. hubby's first order of business? moving the tv so it didn't get leaked on.
and my hot water heater blew... started leaking into my neighbor's unit. oops. had to cut them a nice check to pay for the damage to their brand new hardwood flooring
aint home ownership grand?
