Happy Monday, everyone! And Happy Summer Solstice! I'm trying out this Monday Talk thing to see how it goes. So far, so good. I guess it might be helpful if I actually write these ahead of time so they can post on Monday morning! Anyway, let's get on with Week 3...
This week's subject is Makeup. Which is not so surprising coming from me... but a little bit surprising considering I haven't really been wearing much lately. It's because of the lashes, which I seem to have a love/hate relationship with lately. I love not having to wear much makeup, if any. I love that I can roll out of bed in the morning and look halfway done (nevermind the mop on my head). What I'm not liking is that I can't rub my eyes (that may be a good thing and I just can't see past it), and I don't like how difficult it is for me to get my makeup off.
However, that's all beside the point, because I wanted to tell you about my favorite new blush. And guess what? It's not MAC blush, either! **I'll wait for you to pull yourself up off the floor** Are you dying to know what it is yet? Ok, I'll tell you.... It's a NARS blush called "Sin." Kind of fitting, dontcha think? Especially because my other favorite blush of theirs is called "Orgasm." Anyway, I love the color of it (it's a 'berry with gold shimmer') and it gives me that flushed, rosy look without being too pinky... which is the type of shade I usually go for. It seems to be a bit more on the sophisticated side of the color palette... if there is such a side. So there you have it, that's my new makeup love of the minute.

I rarely wear make-up and find it extra unappealing now that I live in the South. I can't imagine having stuff on my face while dealing with this heat and humidity.
But, when I do wear make-up I am loyal to MAC and have a Fairy Godmother in the form of a sister in-law who works for Estee Lauder and sends me giant boxes of stuff quarterly (for free!).
I really like Clinique for skin care. I have large pores my skin tends to get oily and the moisturizer works well for me. Also doesn't hurt that this is a brand that is owned by Estee Lauder ;)
I rarely wear makeup but the 3 absolute things I love are: MAC Studio Fix compact (foundation and powder in one- loves it!), MAC Fix + (a spray filled with vitamins and minerals that helps fix makeup and give a fresh look), and my MAC makeup removal cloths (smell nice!). These are perfect for someone like me that rarely wears makeup!
I absolutely love the Cargo powder. It was at Sephora, but now they stopped selling it and aren't sure where it will be sold at. SAD FACE.
i don't wear makeup unless i have to. i'm a big fan of bobbi brown. love her cream shadows and the gel eyeliner. even i can't screw up my makeup with this stuff.
waterproof mascara. i have blond lashes and i ride both a bike and a scooter. and now you see.
I love the Orgasm blush thanks to my make up artist!
My favorite part of the day is washing my makeup off with my Olay daily facials and using the Nuetrogena oil-free acne wash. I don't have an acne problem, but this stuff tingles and makes my face feel so clean!
