Random Tuesdayness - A Funeral, Some Slacking and Other Random Crap

Is anyone else excited for the Season 3 Premiere of True Blood? I sure as hell am!!!

Disclaimer: I started this post Tuesday afternoon and haven't gotten around to finishing it until now...
I kidnapped Maddie from the Trax Station this afternoon. There was kind of a funny chain of events that lead up to it... If you promise not to call the police I'll let you in on it. I was in the area, she had just gotten out of school, I called and asked if she wanted a ride home. Not very exciting, but she was happy for the ride! And now she's doing homework while I pretend to work but blog instead. If you wanna play, go talk to Keely.

I'm sitting at Corner Bakery up by the U of U... and I have a confession to make. I'm addicted. To Corner Bakery and its coffee. And when the one by my house at Fashion Place opens, I'm gonna be in big trouble. What happened to that not-eating-out-thing?

I attended a funeral yesterday for a very close friend of my family. My Uncle Pete passed away last week from lung cancer... mesothelioma, to be exact. And just to clarify, we weren't actually related by blood, but that doesn't make any difference to me. He's always been Uncle Pete, and always will be. I have only struggled this much with death once before, a long time ago, and I really don't like it. All I have to say is Fuck Cancer!

In related news, I signed up for the Boobie Walk on May 8th in Salt Lake City. If any of you are walking, let me know and we'll meet up! The walk is a 5k, or you can just do the 1 mile..... either way, it's a ton of fun and I love going every year. I didn't make it last year, so I've got some walking to make up for! Save the tatas! Maybe instead of wearing our bedazzled shirts we should make new ones that say Fuck Cancer? Anyone with me?

This summer is bringing quite the musical line-up to Salt Lake and I'm sooo excited! I'm planning on buying tickets for the following concerts! If you wanna join me, I'm buying tickets for lawn seating at all of them! ~Joss Stone - June 18th @ Red Butte Amphitheater

(And since I apparently got Cass hooked on Lady A, I think she should come to Utah to see the concert with me!)

And here come the updates as of Thursday...
I had a pedicure scheduled for tomorrow afternoon but had to cancel it because I'm broke. That makes me cry... a lot. Oh well, I need to learn to save my money and not spend it on useless shit. Ya know?!

I've had a lot of work to do the last couple of days... mostly because I've been procrastinating and not wanting to do it. After you've done one project that took you a week to complete, you're generally quite hesitant to take on 3 more of the same type of thing right away. Or is it just me? I dunno.

I've had quite the interesting week... but in order to protect the identities of the innocent, I can't really go into it. Let's just say there have been some ups and downs... fewer downs than ups, which is good!

Ok, this is getting long and it's just me rambling. No substance whatsoever! And ya know what? I'm posting it like I actually completed it on Tuesday... so that maybe I can give you something entertaining later.... or not.
