Random Tuesdayness - Totally Uninspired

Thursday night I got home from my 10-day trip that went like this SLC OKC DEN OKC SLC... to say I was happy to be home and sleep in my own bed for a few days would be a dramatic understatement. I ended up sleeping the majority of the weekend away. And now I'm counting down to my next trip back to Denver to see my cute boy... and Cassi, too! 31 days to go!

A topic I've mentioned before, and you can bet your asses I'll mention again, is travel etiquette. There are certain things that are and are not acceptable when traveling amongst others. Sitting down on the plane and proceeding to read an entire article/chapter in a book/instruction manual to the person you are with IS NOT OK! Especially if you have the most drab, monotone voice in the ever-loving world! Seriously lady. Was your husband blind? Illiterate? It's nice of you to offer to read to him, but do it on your own effing time!I recently found out about this fabu new technology that allows me internet access where ever I go. I can tether my cell phone to my computer and it turns my phone into my internet connection! Y'all are probably already aware of this, but holy shit man, this is pretty freakin' cool! The service I use on my phone is through PDAnet and it's been great so far. Yes, I had ot pay for it, but it was a one-time fee, and I love it!

I miss him. I miss him so incredibly much. I miss him more than I thought was possible.

Living on the road half of your life gets incredibly lonely. More lonely than you can imagine until you're immersed in the situation. Yes, you make friends in new places, and you set up new routines, but the safety of being able to go home at night and surround yourself with the people and things you love is soooo taken for granted.

I ran out of crackers today. I had to steal my kids goldfish crackers for my soup.

That would drive me crazy if I sat next to someone on a plane that was reading aloud to someone else...or to me, for that matter!

I used to travel all the time for a former job - you're so right, it does get incredibly lonely, poor thing!

Thanks for rockin' the random in rebellious mode with me! :)

Oh travelling on a plane. I hope I don't have to sit next to a person like that. Or a screaming kid. That cartoon is funny. Maybe you will eventually stop having to travel for work???

If it weren't for other people, air travel would be easy. Read what I had to say about it on Monday at Dogs and Jeans.

Gosh I wish I looked that chic when I traveled! LOL Even though I pretty much have it down to a science, I'm still a hot mess. LOL

You're right that traveling is lonely. I was thinking last night about my life on the road..will I look back on these days fondly? Probably yes and no. Met some wonderful people (YOU!) and spent some lonely nights all by myself.
