Random Tuesdayness - I Need Some Pool Time

randomtuesday Happy Tuesday everyone! You're in for another installment of RTT brought to you by Keely. Go talk to her if you wanna play! First of all, I'd like to say hello and extend a warm welcome to my new followers. Thanks for coming by and I hope I don't bore y'all too much!

Second of all, I'M HOME THIS WEEK! Sweet Jebus, I never thought I'd enjoy sleeping in my own bed so much... even if it kills my back. I can say traveling has officially caught up with me!

I took a little trip up to Brigham City over the weekend. That's Peach Country, for those of you who don't live in Utah. Too bad I'm allergic to peaches, huh? Anyway, after I made it all.the.way.up.there (it's about an hour drive from where I live) I was pleasantly surprised by the trip. The town is very cute and quaint and the drive wasn't bad at all. I know I've been up throught there before but it's been years and I don't really remember it.

I saw Step Up 3D on Sunday and it was awesome... not so much for the storyline, but the dancing was A-MAZE-ING! However, I have to say, I'm never going to a movie with Rose and Noelle again... For some strange reason, they like sitting on the top row. I couldn't feel my legs when I finally made it up there. We were in the largest theater with like 30 rows of seats. WTF?!
I got some tea at my dentist's office yesterday. Yes, they sell tea. Remember how I told you how fabulous my dentist is? If not, go re-read the post. I had some tea while sitting in the massage chairs in the Zen room while waiting for my cleaning. That was before the parrafin hand wax treatment and face & neck massage after the cleaning. Anyhoodle, the tea was fabulous and he had some to buy... so I bought it. It's from The Art of Tea and I got "Tali's Masala Chai" flavor. It's yummy!

Have I mentioned I have work ADD? Actually, maybe just ADD in general. I can't focus on just one task anymore... I go from chore to chore (whether at work or home) and it takes me forever just to get one thing completed!
Can I just tell you how damn happy I am to be home this week? Have I mentioned it enough yet? The fact that I haven't been home enough to clean in the last month is really catching up to me... and for some reason, I just don't have the energy to do it, but it has to be done. I'll pay someone... Do I have any volunteers?

Alabama pronunciation:
File - "fall"
Oil - "ole"
Clark - "clork"
Are - "ore"
Eligibility - "eljability" - Mostly, the consonants tend to be extremely drawn out!
Children - "chooldrun"
There are a ton more, but these are the ones I can think of at the moment...

So, I'm going to be a traveling fool the next couple of weeks. Back to 'Bama next week, home for one day, then jetting off to New Mexico to meet Auri and the kids at her mom's house. I'm excited to get in a little traveling that isn't work related! Then of course, we have Vegas in October! Woo hoo! I can't wait!

Well, I hope you're all off to a good week thus far and I'll chat with y'all later! I'm off to the pool... I need a little R&R today. By the way, I've got a lot of blog reading/catching up to do!

Ciao!

Hahahaha - I love the accent translations; similar to what I hear in NC.

And your peach allergy - bummer!

I lived in northern 'Bama for two years (roll tide!). Here's two more for ya: whop biscuits are biscuits from a can and when someone asks you if it's "any count" they're asking if it's any good.

Pee Ess - enjoy your pool time!!

We say "ole" for "oil" here also. Or at least I do. Maybe I am the only lucky one.

You travel so much! You better let me know if you ever end up in Baltimore!
