On Sunday night, Auri and I decided to go to a movie. We had dinner at her house, played with the bubbies, put them to bed, and then we headed out. We had a bit of time to kill and thought we'd do so by drinking either beer or coffee. In the end, the beer won, literally. We stopped by The Bayou and each ordered a beer and a plate of sweet potato/regular fries to share. Aurs had the Delerium Noel beer and I ordered the Ayinger Ur-Weisse hefeweizen which were both very good. I drank half of mine (since I was driving) and she drank hers, plus my other half. Needless to say, she was a little tipsy by the time we left for the movie. 
All I have to say is the short drive from The Bayou to the theater on 33rd was extremely entertaining and I quite enjoyed myself. We laughed from the time we got in the car to the time we got to the theater. Then, to top it all off, we had the whole theater to ourselves. We were able to sit wherever we damn well pleased, and we got to be loud and goof off without being rude. It was great. The absolute highlight of my evening was the preview for the new Fast and Furious movie coming out next summer that is bringing the original cast back. Holy shit! I'm so excited, I can't wait. I just love the labels for this post... "Alcohol, Auri, laugh"... pretty much says it all doesn't it? Would you care to tell the crowd that the delerium beer has like 3 times the normal amount of alcohol in it than a regular beer? It was soooo good! I've got the label up on my cupboard. I remember my parents doing that with great wine labels when we lived in the studio... so I thought I'd borrow the idea. I really had no clue how tipsy I'd gotten until about half way to the movie... oy vey! You didn't tell them about the scary ass man in the car next to us! He looked like the unibomber... and he was staring at me! So I decided to duck down in the car so I wouldn't have to look at him again!! At that point I believe you almost peed your pants, no?
Let's also state for the record that alcohol and movies is fun... but I don't suggest getting lit before going to see the new OO7... really hard to follow the action sequences and story line when all you want to do is see them get naked and horizontal... or is that what I wanted to do? Oh well... either way...
we definitely need to repeat that a few more times this lifetime!
