Holy hell, it's been one crazy week! I got home last Thursday night after being holed up in the hotel in OKC... I packed my bags... slept like crappola... and got on a plane bound for Denver Friday morning. And just let me say I'm so happy I made some new friends on the plane (Rachel and Jessi) because we ended up holding onto eachother during the hellish flight! By far, the bumpiest I've ever been on!
I was soooo excited to see Cassi when I got off the plane! She even surprised me by meeting me inside the airport... I thought I wouldn't see her until I got to her car! She and I spent the entire day shopping... And when I say entire day, I'm not shitting you. We didn't get to her house until about 7:30 that night (my flight got in at 11:15 AM)!
We stopped at Champs for lunch and had the BEST mojitos! I told her I wanted to go there everyday for lunch, but that didn't happen. Seriously, yummy. Dinner that night was a rotisserie chicken from the store and some noodles. Nothing exciting but damn, it tasted good. Especially after shopping for a gazillion hours! We hung out the rest of the night and drank wine. Good times!
Saturday morning we got up and went with the fam to Monkey Bizness for Monk's birthday. Talk about birth control! 84746 screaming children will do that for you. Little man had a great time and we had fun watching him play.

Back at home he went down for a nap and the rest of us got the house ready for his birthday party. The rest of the fam (and when I say the rest of them, I mean the other 12 people that came over besides the 6 of us that were already there!) came over and we partied for the rest of the evening (well, as much as you can at a 3 year-old's party).

Once everyone went home, I did Cassi's toes, Tank and Uncle Eric went for a midnight stroll in the snow, and we ended up drinking... a lot. It was great! I think it snowed about a foot and a half while I was there. I just can't seem to get away from it, no matter where I go! Lame!

That's Tank and E in their matching coats. Aren't they adorable?!?!

Sunday was time for the Super Bowl and since the Steelers were playing, you know there was going to be a party at Cassi's house! Everyone that came over was required to wear Steelers attire... even if they weren't Steelers fans! I had to end up borrowing a jersey from Tank... Good thing he had an extra one. We made tons of yummy food and everyone gorged themselves. Too bad the Steelers lost, but it was a great game.

Cassi is convinced Eric and I should get married... we took this pic to appease her and see if she'd shut up about it for an hour or two! It worked for a short time... After everyone else went home, we spent the rest of the night hanging out and watching the tube. Oh, and I taught Cass to crochet! Amazing that I am proficient enough to teach another, right?! We turned on Red (totally cute movie) and the second it came on, Tank fell asleep. So,Cass, Eric and I snuggled on the couch and watched it while we listened to Tank and the dogs snore. Good times!
Monday morning was pretty mellow... we hung around and I got ready to leave. We should have planned the day a little better so we could have gone to lunch, but oh well, we still had fun spending the day together. That night I flew from Denver to OKC where I spent the rest of this week working. I really wish I could have stayed there and worked from Cassi's house. Would have been much more exciting that being snowed in on Wednesday!
Now it's time to get ready for Miss Sassy Pants' visit to SLC next month! We're going to organize a little blogger get-together so if anyone is interested, just let me know!
