Had I known the story was going to take this long, I may have thought twice about documenting it. I left off at the Starlite Room. Half of the first round (which was more like the 5th or 6th round) of cocktails ended up spilled and we were trying to find somewhere to sit down b/c the bar was very busy. I'm not sure what happened, but apparently Jen worked her magic and got us a table. Rosie ordered the next round which were Lemondrops, and they were very yummy. The three of them decided to get up and, brace yourselves, dance. The buttholes left me all alone at the table, and went to dance. When they came back, Noelle and I went back to the dance floor. I honestly haven't danced in a few years and it was a lot of fun. We didn't even get very sweaty! If I remember correctly, we were there until the bar closed and all the lights came on! We walked out the front door of the hotel and started on our way down the road. Next thing we know, Noelle has no shoes on. The heels of her shoes got caught in a grate in the sidewalk and she couldn't get them free.
She apparently thought it was a better idea to just keep on walking than it was to try and get her shoes. Needless to say, we were all cracking up and Jen took a picture. We made our drunken walk back toward the hotel and I insisted we get something to eat before we go to bed. That's the cardinal rule... you eat before you go home and go to bed so as to avoid a hangover, or general discomfort in the morning. Miss Jen decided she was too tired to join us for breakfast, even after our insistence, and we watched her walk back to the hotel from the corner before we went to the little diner down the road. Rose, Noelle and I had some food, then went back to the hotel and went to bed. I'm sure I've left out parts of the story, but this is all I can remember at this point. I may have to come back and make revisions later.
Noelle and I got up on Sunday morning and went to Starbucks (which was conveniently located next to our hotel - there's even a door into the store from the lobby). Being the thoughtful girls we are, we got coffee for Rose and Jen and took some food up to their room. We knocked, a minute or two later the door was opened by Rose, who apparently, had been asleep. She let us in and I went to find Jen asleep, face down in her bed. I woke her up with a Carmel Macchiatto and she reluctantly got out of bed, only to inform us that she'd been up most of the night puking! I don't like to rub things in, but I did. Hello, eat before you go to bed.... duh, Woman! She had a fairly ugly hangover that day, but she was a trooper and went with the program. See Part 5...
