So, Jen was hungover... we razzed her all day about not coming to eat with us the night before. I think she got the hint! We started the day by heading out shopping. The first stop on our list was the Coach store so I could get my graduation gift. Here's the back story... my mom and dad got me a Coach purse for graduation, but it was the same color and style of the one I already had, only bigger. I took it back to the store to exchange it, but Dillards didn't have anything that I liked, so I figured I'd try to find one in San Fran. The staff at the Coach store was awesome, very accommodating and friendly, and we all (yes, even Jen) ended up buying a purse of some sort. I had to put some of my own money with my mom's because the one I picked out was a bit more expensive than the one she bought, but it all worked out in the end.
After the Coach store we met up with Maddie, Colleen and Taylor... they went to H&M, we headed to breakfast since we were all starving. I can't remember the name of the place we ate, but it was pretty good. After breakfast we walked over to Tiffany's so Rose could ask about cleaning her necklace. She and Jen went upstairs while Noelle and I oogled the diamonds downstairs. The only thing that would have been better was if I had walked out with new jewelry. We found the girls again and all headed towards Chinatown... not my first choice for where to go, but I went along with the program. We looked around in a few stores and then stopped so the girlies could get something to munch on... Noelle and Rose had bubble tea (which I think is disgusting), and Jen and I kept them company.
From there, we walked across the street to San Francisco's first ever Cathedral (don't ask me the name cuz I can't remember it). Jen and I sat down in the back pew while Noelle and Rose walked up, did their thing, and sat down in the first pew. A minute or two later Noelle came walking back down the aisle, and Rose was still sitting up there with her head bowed. I said to Noelle that I was impressed Rose was praying and she said Rose wasn't praying, she was texting! Hello, sacrilege anyone? We decided to head to the MAC Pro Store from there and tried to hail a cab after we took some pics.
A minivan-cab stopped for us and we asked the driver if he would take the seven of us. He wasn't so sure after seeing us, but finally relented. Let's see... you have three small girls, and four big girls... who gets in the back? Oh yeah, the little shits. So, Maddie, Colleen & Taylor got in the back, Noelle got in the front with the driver, Rose & Jen sat on the middle seat, and where did that leave me? One inch of ass-cheek on the seat, and the rest of me half-sitting, half-kneeling in the little aisle, holding onto the back of Noelle's chair for dear life. I can think of 100 other things I'd prefer to do than going up and down the hills in San Fran in that position. It was lots of fun.... Colleen started getting carsick, I was extremely uncomfortable, and Noelle had to spend the whole ride reclining because I was pulling her seat so far backwards!
We finally got to our location and I couldn't have gotten out of the van fast enough. I was only pretty sure my legs were going to fail me at that point! Luckily, they held up! We went to the MAC Store (or Heaven for those of you who know me) and spent about 30 minutes in there. It was great. I got some new colors, some new products to try, and got a few things for my Mamacita. When we were done, the girls headed into a few clothing stores and the rest of us hung out outside enjoying the cute little area we were in. Very chic, if I do say so, myself. We were pretty shopped out and wanted to head back to the hotel, but I still hadn't been down to the water, so I said I wanted to either go see the bridge or go down to the wharf. The four of us decided we'd grab a cab down to the water and the other three said they'd meet us back at the hotel. We grabbed a bottle of water across the street and got a cab, driven by Saeed (sigh-eed). I'm stopping here so I can get some more work done... to be continued!
