Time to Catch Up

When I stopped and realized how long it's been since I've blogged, I was kind of shocked. I've been so unbelievably busy that I honestly haven't thought much about it! That's gotta change! I took a little impromptu trip to Denver two weeks ago to get away from reality for a bit. After my grandpa's wake and everything, I needed some time to breathe. Spending some time with my baby helped! My brother brought home a new addition to our family... her name is Millie, and she's a little shit! She's snippy, cries all the time, and is a freaking vulture! Good thing she's cute... it's her only saving grace right now!
She loves her big sissy, though, so all is good. All the two of them do is play all day, nap and eat. What a life! I'm gonna let y'all in on a little secret... my dad still doesn't know about her... and when he finds out, he's gonna freak the hell out. Don't say anything, kay?

While I was in Denver, I hung out with Cassi, Tank, Monkey, and of course, my man! It was so nice to spend some time with them... especially E! We found out that he might be getting a job working on the oil fields, so keep your fingers crossed for him (us)! At first, we thought he'd be going to work in North Dakota, but now it looks like it's going to be New Mexico. Either way, he's moving, and I'm less than thrilled about it. Too bad it's just about the only option left at this point. Oh well, it'll all work out in the end!We took a little trip up to Round Mountain outside Colorado Springs and camped for a night (Cass and Tank stayed the weekend, but E and I only stayed Friday night). On Saturday we took a trip down to the Terryall River and went rock crawling. Tank and E both let me drive the Jeep a couple of times and I had sooo much fun! I can't wait 'til E buys a Jeep so I can drive it! That's me driving in the picture. Totally badass, right?!

Hmmm... what else? My friend Lisa threw a big 40th birthday pool party for her husband Derek over the weekend and we had a blast. Note to self: never attend a pool party without your swimsuit... seems obvious, but ya know. I didn't take any pics, but I know Odum did. Hopefully, you never see any of them!

My grandpa's wake went really well. It was a lot harder than I anticipated, but it was really nice. All of my friends came, along with probably 300 other people and it was so overwhelming. All the love and support was amazing and so very much appreciated.

I think that's it for now... I'll try to save something for later in the week! Hope y'all are doing well!

What kind of dogs are they. They look like some kind of mixed breed. Still they are very cute.
